VIP Experience: Luxury $2 Million Dinner & Vivid Blue Jane Seymour Diamond Ring

Last year, we covered the Ultimate VIP Dinner – World’s Most Expensive Dining Experience at $2,000,000 event in Singapore. For a jaw-dropping $2,000,000, you could partake in the world’s most expensive dining experience. PLus, you will receive the Jane Seymour diamond ring. Well now you may be the luck winner in a unique fractional ownership model.

The US $2 Million Dinner was launched last year by World of Diamonds Group. The event has held at CE LA VI Singapore. The dinner is accompanied by a blue diamond ring, that is both endorsed and named after respected actress Jane Seymour. For an idea of just how valuable this ring is, a few facts. The 2.08 carat, VS1 Fancy Vivid blue, Jane Seymour diamond ring is set in 18-karat rose-gold-plated platinum. In addition, it features beautiful floral motifs. As a result, the ring embodies the beauty, grace, and talent of Hollywood actress, Jane Seymour.

The Jane Seymour diamond ring is the first and only piece of jewelry named after the former Bond girl, celebrating her illustrious career. The Emmy and Golden Globe award winner designs her own “Open Hearts” collection and is the brand ambassador of Signet Jewelers, the world’s largest jeweler with nearly 3,600 stores in the US, UK, and Canada. However, none of those jewelry pieces bear her name.

The US $2 Million has just been sold to Ville Oehman, a cryptocurrency veteran and founder of V Diamonds. The $2 Million Dinner, which Ville bought comes with the Jane Seymour diamond ring and the full dining experience. As to why World of Diamonds Group decided to sell this dinner to Ville Oehman, we have an official statement: Director of World of Diamonds Group, Karan Tilani was quoted “Having received applications from people who value the exclusivity of the ring and the dinner experience, we faced the dilemma of concluding on a single buyer. We embraced Ville Oehman’s concept of opening up the highly exclusive blue diamond market to a fractional ownership model by using blockchain technology”.

The Jane Seymour diamond ring will be sold in many parts or fractions. The dinner is being given away randomly as a prize to anybody who buys a part of the ring. There will be 1 million parts of the ring, and each part will be priced between US $2 and US $3. Ville’s concept provides the working class the opportunity to invest in blue diamonds since this is an asset that has traditionally only been available for the ultra-wealthy. Blue diamonds today cost over US $2 million per carat and are rarely available for sale. The reason is simply that they are so rare.

luxury yacht cruise

Ville is relaunching the US $2 Million Dinner, as he is now the owner of the whole experience. He wants to make the experience accessible and not only reserved for the rich and famous. Ville has separated the ring from the dinner experience. An ICO (initial coin offering) is being launched, backed by the blue diamond ring. This is among the world’s first ICOs that is asset-backed, by an asset that is continually appreciating in value. Therefore, people can actually invest in shares of a company. However, this ICO which V Diamonds will be launching is not an offering of any shares of the company. Rather, it’s an offering of being able to own a part of the blue Jane Seymour diamond ring.

So if you want the status and the chance at a VIP experience, then please read on. Anyone can buy a part of The Jane Seymour ring for between US $2 and $3 million. The ring’s exact price will be available during the ICO launch on the ICO website. Even after the ICO is completed, the ring will be owned by all the collective investors of the ring. However, it will be kept and stored by V Diamonds.

The ring will still be available for sale to a single buyer or through an auction house, and the proceeds of the sale will be distributed to all the owners of the ring when the eventual sale takes place. All the investors will be able to decide if and when it goes to auction or gets sold to a single buyer – there will be an online voting system for all the investors to participate in, periodically. Just like a public company has an AGM organized annually for its shareholders.

One of the investors of the ring will win The Ultimate Dinner. Ville’s concept was to ‘democratize’ the dinner and make it accessible to everyone around the world. So now, anyone around the world can get invested in a celebrity blue diamond ring and at the same time, stand a chance to win a once in a lifetime dinner experience. Each part of the ring they buy, they get 1 chance to win the dinner. They can buy as many parts as they want as it is very affordably priced, and they will get more chances to win the dinner.

The entire luxury dinner experience concept has been relaunched, since it has been bought by V Diamonds. V Diamonds has its boutique at the private Commercially Important People (CIP) terminal at Singapore’s Changi Airport, and so V Diamonds relaunched the dinner concept in line with the airport theme. As the dinner is not taking place at CE LA VI Singapore, this dinner is not called the $2 Million Dinner anymore, but rather: The Ultimate Dinner.

The dinner will take place in Singapore. The winner will be provided return first-class tickets from anywhere in the world, provided complimentary hospitality at a presidential suite of a 5-star hotel (this will be Swissotel The Stamford (Singapore), which will have its revamped Presidential Suite available in 2018. The hotel was formerly the tallest in the world. We also offer the option of Fairmont Singapore for the winner, for their selection. Both Swissotel The Stamford and Fairmont Singapore are under AccorHotels, and they both have stunning Presidential Suites.) The winner will also enjoy other exclusive privileges such as VIP hospitality at various spas & clubs and other Michelin-starred meals.

The sale of the ring will begin toward the end of 2017. The winner will be announced in early 2018. The lucky winner gets to enjoy the dinner with someone of his/her choice. This VIP dinner experience is for 2 people. The Ultimate Dinner will take place during a 4-hour flight on a US $30 Million private jet with an 18-course cuisine prepared by Michelin-starred restaurant Jaan. But there is much more! A luxury yacht cruise and Rolls-Royce journey takes place before the dinner, and the winner and his/her partner will each dine with diamond chopsticks, worth US $17,000 each for a total of $34,000. They become the world’s most expensive chopsticks! Adorned with 84 high-quality colorless diamonds in total and weigh almost 8.5 carat. Don’t worry, you will be able to keep the chopsticks after the dinner is done. The winner and his/her partner will also enjoy 10,000 roses and vintage wines. To end your magical evening, there will be a fantastic fireworks display after the dinner.

Sensational Blue Diamond Ring – “The Jane Seymour”

Blue diamonds are an extremely rare gemstone. Reading about auctions or sales of an expensive blue diamond ring have become big news in the jewelry industry. Now you have a chance to own one yourself. This spectacular diamond – “The Jane Seymour” – is named after legendary British and American actress Jane Seymour OBE.

You may be wondering what the OBE stands for after Seymour’s name. Jane was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of British Empire) in 1999 for her career work in drama. She was quite honored to have this beautiful blue diamond named after her. It’s a 2.08 carat, fancy vivid blue diamond ring in platinum, from the World Of Diamonds Group.

Blue diamonds bring big prices at auctions. There was a 10.10 carat diamond rock named the De Beers Millennium Jewel 4. This oval-shaped, fancy vivid blue diamond sold for $31.8 million to become the the most expensive gemstone ever sold at an Asia auction. In November, the 12.03 carat “Blue Moon” diamond was sold in a Sotheby’s auction to a billionaire from Hong Kong. The prices was a staggering $48.4 million. Just last month in Geneva, Switzerland, “The Oppenheimer Blue” was sold for a whopping $57.5 million. Held at a Christie’s auction, it became the most expensive diamond ever sold at an auction.

Jane wore the gorgeous ring at a formal dinner event at CÉ LA VI Singapore. The diamond ring represents the movie industry celebrity, who has won an Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards. Seymour also has a star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame in California. The ring was the ideal complement to the elegant blue dress that she wore.

The ring was made from platinum, which is one of the premier metals in the world. The skilled craftsmen from World Of Diamonds Group in Geneva, Switzerland expertly created the ring’s flower motifs and perfect symmetry. The Jane Seymour ring was signed “W.O.D. Genève” and hallmarked “PT950.”

Jane Seymour is starring in a production by British Theatre Playhouse, titled “The Vortex” by Noel Coward. The play will be performed at Jubilee Hall Theatre inside Raffles Hotel in Singapore.

Karan Tilani (photo below) is the director of World Of Diamonds Group in Asia and was quoted, “The invitation to behold this creation would rather you not compare The Jane Seymour to anything else in the high jewelry world. It is a celebratory treat, more comparable to a mega-yacht or a ticket to the moon.”

Many people don’t realize the final gemstone is so much different than the one found underground. This particular one was not symmetrical in its rough state. But with almost a year of careful work by the world’s finest artisans, the rough diamond was cut into the elegant looking, cushion-cut diamond that exists today.

“The Jane Seymour” blue diamond ring is now available for sale. This fine jewelry piece will be presented in a stylish, handcrafted leather “treasure chest.”

Christie’s New York Auction Showcases Stunning Luxury Jewelry

Christie’s New York Auction featured exceptional diamonds and pearls in their fall jewelry auction on October 16. It was Christie’s first auction of the autumn season and featured a dazzling array of magnificent jewels from rare gemstones to flawless diamonds, natural pearls and signed pearls, considered some of the best to come up for sale in the last five years.

Rahul Kadakia, Head of Jewellery for Christie’s America and Switzerland, explained: “Our team of jewellery specialists has spent the summer months gathering the finest gems to match current collecting tastes, including top-quality diamonds, natural pearls, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, rare vintage jewels and highly coveted, contemporary creations from the best designers.”

Stunning diamond jewels weighing more than 50 carats each and exceedingly rare double strand of large natural pearls were among the scores of top-quality gems offered from the finest makers. Diamonds in excess of 50ct each achieved in excess of $35 million from 369 lots. Selling for $3.1million, the 68.35ct fancy oval-cut intense yellow diamond is internally flawless and a magnificent sight.

Even more exquisite was a pear-shaped D-colour impeccable diamond pendant necklace going for an astonishing, $9.5million. This stunning necklace goes well with the diamond ear pendants that went for $4.7million. The stone is mounted in platinum and may be worn dangling from a necklace with a 2.28 carat, circular-cut D-color diamond surmount, available with a GIA certificate noting the stone’s exceptional polish and outstanding symmetry.

Although diamonds are a girl’s best friend, it wasn’t all about diamonds. Made up of 120 large pearls, ranging in colours from white to light creams, a rare double strand of natural pearls, complete with a 3ct D-colour diamond clasp signed by Cartier, reached its estimate of $3.5 million.

Also up for auction were a range of signed jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels … the more colourful of these were two mystery-set pieces. Tripling it’s estimate with a $278,500 sale, the “honeycomb” motif ruby and diamond bracelet uses the exclusive setting technique to great effect – the hexagonal stones create a brilliant contrast with the curve of the bracelet. A pair of ruby and diamond ear clips with matching brooch, also by Van Cleef & Arpels, in the form of a flower blossom with diamond pistils and leaves, went for nearly three times its estimate, selling for $260,500.

Rahul Kadakia commented soon after the sale: “Private collectors and dealers reacted more than positively to a 369-lot auction that was finely-tuned in terms of prices and selection of gems to current market conditions. Natural pearls, colorless flawless diamonds, and colored diamonds of high quality once again dominated the day, making for a vibrant atmosphere in the saleroom.”

Five Top Tips to Buying an Engagement Ring

diamond engagement ring
Diamond Engagement Ring

For men, it’s always a stressful time to propose to a woman and find that perfect diamond engagement ring. There are lots of choices including a variety of engagement band metals, such as gold, platinum titanium, silver and more.

Searching for the perfect engagement ring is a challenge. February is a popular month for diamonds as millions of couples becoming engaged on Valentine’s Day, alone. But when love is n the air, proposing is a beautiful thing anytime of the year.

So if you are looking for some help and planning to pop the question, here are five Top Tips to Buying an Engagement Ring. Learn these important shopping tips to help you make a smart purchase.

1) Ignore the 3-Month Salary Rule
Spending the traditional two to three month’s salary is no longer the case, says Salim Shamy of LaViano Jewelers in New Jersey, a popular destination for engagement rings and wedding bands. In fact, in 2010, consumers spent an average of $5,392 on an engagement ring—or roughly, 10 percent of the average U.S. household income. These days, the purchase depends largely on one’s financial situation, disposable income and savings. “Don’t go beyond your ability,” says Shamy. “If you prepare to spend $10,000, just make sure you’re getting the best product at $10,000.”

2) Learn About Diamonds
Before walking into a jewelry store, have some idea of what you want. Learn what makes a diamond special and what kind of diamond your special someone might prefer. A diamond’s rarity—and therefore its price—is determined by four unique characteristics: the Four C’s: carat (the weight), clarity (the degree of flaws or blemishes), color (from colorless to yellow) and cut (the shape). This is the universal grading system used to objectively compare diamonds.

3) Pay Special Attention to the Cut
A diamond of a smaller carat, but with an exquisite cut, could take on the appearance of a much pricier gem. So much so that Shamy of LaViano Jewelers rates a diamond’s cut or shape—ranging from excellent to poor—as the most important purchasing criteria, because it helps to determine its brilliance or “sparkle.” The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) agrees, saying that the “allure of a particular diamond depends more on cut than anything else.” Some of the key factors in a diamond’s cut include its proportions, symmetry and polish.

4) Choose the Stone First, Setting Second
Gem experts advocate buying a loose diamond first, then deciding on its setting. The diamond, after all, is the most important and expensive aspect of the ring. You want to be able to pick the best stone that fits your budget, and when the diamond is loose, you’re better able to evaluate its 4 C’s. Preset diamond rings tend to be slightly more expensive, as well.

5) Request Certification
All diamonds should come with a stone certificate, a document from an independent third-party authority, such as the GIA or the American Gem Society (AGS), which verifies its authenticity and description. Reputable jewelers should provide this without hesitation. If not, take that as the ultimate red flag that the diamond is not all its hyped up to be. The GIA Diamond Grading Report, for example, provides technical information, such as the dimensions, quality and characteristics of a loose diamond. For added piece of mind—and for insurance reasons—you may also want to have the diamond valued by an independent appraisal specialist.

Diamonds: They Are Now A Man’s Best Friend

Men's Diamond

Diamonds have long been a status symbol of luxury. Is it true that there are diamond jewelry pendants for men? Do men love diamonds as much as women? For women there is a plethora of options.

Diamonds come in drops, hearts, and flower shapes. Then there is birds and geometric shapes as well, and that is just the beginning. But do men have all of these options?

Men should have the same options as women for designer diamond jewelry. Some of the most popular shapes for men are crosses, nuggets, and coins. However, there should definitely be some unique opportunities for men and designer jewelry as well.

Perhaps the best option is custom design. This allows the man to be as simple or as intricate about the design of his diamond pendant as he wants to be. His imagination and his ability to explain his design to the jeweler are the only limitations. Some designs that have been done are bezel settings and infinity symbols.

Trendy symbols can also be taken into consideration and altered to make them more personal and then into a custom piece of jewelry. Geometric shapes are popular as well as using more manly materials like stone. The options are truly endless. The custom jewelry created by men are an excellent way for them to display their style and be involved in the process as well.

There are always going to be some men who think that diamonds are too flashy or that designer jewelry is purely a feminine experience. However, diamonds do not always have to be their usual color. Diamonds are available in black, brown, and many other colors that may suit the more manly man better.

They are still the same as typical diamonds in their strength and durability and therefore remain a more masculine choice. Men can enjoy diamonds too without feeling like they are treading in thin ice with their manhood.

Designer diamond jewelry that is customized for men is an excellent way for men to enjoy diamonds as well. With the colors and shapes that are available, it is a great opportunity for men to display their style and personality as well. Sometimes trends dictate what is appropriate for men, but truth is, men can definitely make their own standards but also settings that are operational.

Men should visit a designer shop in their own cities so that they can start to make their creation today.

Jewelry is a great expression of personality and women should not be the only ones allowed to express themselves in this manner. However, it is important to also look at current trends so that it is not over done. This is of course a rule that women should follow as well.

Through the Years With Tiffany Luxury Jewelry

Tiffany Jewelry

Tiffany and Co. Jewelers was founded upon the idea of providing high end goods to people of discerning taste who demanded luxury and quality in the products that they purchased.

Tiffany’s products, which include things like beautiful diamonds, silver jewelry, handcrafted silver gifts, tableware and other fine goods continues to attract modern customers, just as they have done since the days Tiffany and Co opened its doors.

Charles Lewis Tiffany – The King of Diamonds

Charles Lewis Tiffany, nicknamed “The King of Diamonds” and business partner John B. Young set up shop in the first Tiffany & Young store in 1837. The famous store, located in New York City on Broadway, the store was original created to be stationary store. Tiffany took over the store, renaming it Tiffany and Co and moved the business towards the high end products with which it is associated today.

Silver Goods and Jewelry

The beautiful silver jewelry pieces from the early days of Tiffany are so classic in their craftmanship and design that many of the original pieces are still sold in some form today. Antique Tiffany pieces that are still in that famous, original light blue boxes can fetch huge money at estate sales and online auctions. The light blue color packaging continues to be the calling card symbol of jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

Some of the goods and products that could be purchased at Tiffany & Co. early in the company’s career include many different silver jewelry pieces, monogrammed sets for dressers, presentation bowls, silver cups and saucers designed for children, silver trays for business cards, men’s dressing sets and silver game pieces. One especially popular item from the late 1800s was the souvenir spoons made Tiffany & Co. and copied by many other manufacturers.

Tiffany Jewelry And Tiffany Lampshades

In 1902, the Tiffany Art Jewelry portion of the store was opened as a means for displaying the jewelry and enamel craftwork of Louis Comfort Tiffany, heir to the Tiffany throne. Louis Tiffany was also the brains behind some of the most famous Tiffany styles, including Tiffany stained glass lampshades. In 1940, Tiffany and Co moved from Broadway to its world famous modern location at Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Manhattan.

The name Tiffany & Co. is associated with timeless and classic luxury items. Today, much of Tiffany’s business comes through catalog and Internet based sales, which have helped spread the Tiffany brand name around the world and made the dream of owning a piece of Tiffany jewelry realizable no matter where you live.

Black Diamond Engagement Ring – An Eccentric Choice

Black diamond engagement ring

There are many kinds of diamonds to choose for your loved one, especially for an engagement ring. You can actually choose different designs, shapes, sizes and colors.

Colorless diamonds are popular choices for engagement rings. A man can choose to give his bride-to-be a pink or yellow diamond engagement ring; which is preferred by a lot of women. So giving a black diamond engagement ring is not really a popular choice.

Unlike traditional colors of diamond engagement rings, a black diamond engagement ring is “unique if not an eccentric kind of ring to choose for a loved one.

There a probably a few women who would have a taste or penchant for this very odd color of engagement ring because often the color of black is associated with evil, darkness or even witchcraft. So it would be surprising if not scary to be given a ring especially a black diamond engagement ring.

But unknown to people, black diamonds are popular stone choices for male jewelries especially for Europeans. Usually black diamonds are included in wedding rings and bracelets. They are often combined with more lustrous or more colorful diamonds and other precious stones to enhance the brilliance of the colored gems or highlight the black diamond itself.

Men who offer to give a black diamond engagement ring also choose rings that are set in platinum or titanium to enhance the color of the black diamond or combine it with stones the color of their choice and have the design custom made to make it extra special.

The appearance of black diamonds may be in hues of green, gray or midnight black. The color can range from being dense or translucent in hue.

When buying a black diamond engagement ring, you need to go to an accredited jeweler because some people trick sellers by adding color to fancy stones and make it appear a true black diamond.

Be sure to ask for papers proving that you are getting the real deal on your black diamond rings

Tiffany & Co, Smaller May Be Better

Late last year, I mentioned that that Tiffany & Co, will be opening smaller concept stores. Now it turns out the first one will open up in the new Americana at Brand shopping center in Glendale, California. The space will be approximately 2,600-square feet, which is quite small compared to the existing stores which average 7,100 square feet.

The smaller stores are meant to appeal to women and more entry-level shoppers. No engagement rings or “statement jewelry” here and there will be an emphasis of sterling silver pieces, the types of things that women might buy for themselves as a treat. If the smaller store concept succeeds it will allow Tiffany to more than triple the amount of stores they have currently.

In analyzing how this will turn out I can see how it could go either way. On the one hand, Tiffany will be able to extend to many more people who thought they couldn’t afford Tiffany pieces and will provide more brand visibility. On the other hand, the decline in the luxury market right now is mostly hitting the lower tier of the high-end, precisely where Tiffany is aiming these stores.

There is also the possibility that these stores might further dilute the power of the Tiffany brand. In fact, CNN reports that LVMH which was mulling over a bid for the company, fears that the jeweler may be too “mid-market” for their portfolio.
