The building was a brick warehouse but cleverly utilizes its bow truss ceiling. Hanging down are a series of upside down boats and canoes. But not just for show, they have been morphed into light fixtures. The fixtures use vintage Edison bulbs and are surrounded by olive trees that are imported.

The goal of this new ocean-to-table concept restaurant is to source line-caught fish, in addition to the freshest products. Coming from the ocean, ranch and field, all menu ingredients will be obtained within only 350 yards from the Pacific Ocean. Now that’s fresh!

The Herringbone Waikiki restaurant will provide wonderful views. It can be found on the open-air, third-level of the Grand Lanai of International Market Place in Waikiki on the island of Oahu. Visiting The Sacred Valley of Peru is an awesome travel experience. This trip was an incredible combination of Andean and Incan culture, eco-adventure, wellness, spirituality, and most importantly, service. We had the opportunity to work with three extraordinary organizations, Project Helping, Ninos del Sol, and Hanuman Adventures, to create this transformational and unifying journey that we will never forget!

The Sacred Valley is an epicenter of spiritual history and adventure. We were blessed to access unique, locally rooted, ceremonies performed by Peruvian Shamen from the highlands of the Andes and a number of potent local healers. One of our favorites was a hike up to the Chicon glacier where we had private access to a 14,000 foot mountain and participated in a traditional purification ceremony, honoring Mother Earth or Pachamama as she is referred to in Quechua.

The adventure to Machu Picchu seems to always be a favorite. From glass ceiling train rides through the dramatic Peruvian landscape to a 4 am hike up to the gates of Machu Picchu- the experience is a rich and powerful opportunity to connect with a truly, inspirational story, people and land.

At the center of our journey in Peru was service work with Ninos Del Sol, an orphanage that provides a truly loving and nurturing home for 15 beautiful children. This orphanage is special in its approach. Instead of seeking adoption for the children, the directors Avishai and Viviana, provide a healthy home and family where the children can support one another as they grow into adulthood.

We were lucky enough to be there at a time when our help was especially needed during a relocation from one home to a new one. We were blessed with the experience of working directly with the kids and their community to pack up the old house and get the new house ready for move in. While the work was hard, the extra help we provided was crucial. It was empowering, humbling and heart opening to be able to be of service in such a meaningful way.

In the end, what was most impactful, was the evolution of our incredible groups of brave strangers who took this magical journey together. The experience of traveling to a foreign country with people you don’t know, to do work and activities that will inevitably push you outside of your comfort zone, takes courage. It was a leap of faith that led us to open our hearts and minds and connect with each other, our amazing hosts, and the world around us.

Baselworld 2017 is underway and ends on March 30, 2017. This popular watch and jewelry show is held each year in Messe Basel, Switzerland. Luxury watch brand Breguet announced their new Marine Equation Marchante 5887 luxury watch.

The House of Breguet launched this prestigious watch model – Marine Equation Marchante 5887 – and wowed the Baselworld crowd. Breguet continues to define the luxury watch industry by integrating both marine navigation and astronomy into its luxury watch line.

This fine timepiece becomes part of Breguet’s contemporary Marine collection. This “Grande Complication” watch comes with a 43.9mm-diameter case, made of either rose gold or platinum. The stylish platinum model includes a blue dial and a rhodium-plated movement. In addition, the rose gold version surrounds a silvered dial and has an anthracite movement. Both Marine Equation Marchante 5887 watch models exude aesthetic balance and elegance.

As you peer through the watch’s sapphire caseback, take note that the bridges have been carefully placed to depict in incredible detail the “Royal Louis.” This well known ship was the first rank vessel in the powerful French Royal Navy.

The Marine Equation Marchante 5887 luxury watch barrel is beautifully adorned with a windrose motif. This was done to recognize the importance of astronomical navigation. The watch has self-winding movement and the oscillating weight is located on the rim of the calibre.

The challenge for marine navigation has been the issue of time. Since the days of Antiquity, the basis of time has been by using the sun. Using sundials historically has focused on a key problem. The visible motion of the sun is irregular. Thus the precision of timekeeping continues to evolve. Eventually true solar time has been substituted by mean solar time. Therefore, each day has now become the same duration – exactly 24 hours.

Breguet continuesto concentrate on its ladies collection. This new watch includes a gorgeous array of shimmering gems, mother-of-pearl, in addition to other precious materials. The end result is spectacular. The new Marine Equation Marchante 5887 watch is simply stunning.

The watch is design with two apertures. The first is found 10 and 11 o’clock. The second aperature is located between the 1 and 2 o’clock position. Combined they display the days of the week, plus the months and even leap-year cycle. You’ll notice the date is shown inside the chapter ring. This is accomplished by a retrograde hand that’s tipped with an anchor motif. The hand seamlessly sweeps across an arc that runs from the 9 to 3 o’clock position.

The Marine Equation Marchante 5887 timepiece from Breguet is based upon the self-winding 581DR calibre. This luxury watch also features a third complication. It’s a 60-second tourbillon with a titanium carriage. It also houses a Breguet balance with a silicon balance spring. The watch’s 80-hour autonomy is seen by way of an aperture located
between 7 and 9 o’clock.
