The 7 Most Expensive Paintings in the World – By a Living Artist

Cosmic ‘X’ Art is the World’s Most Expensive – 2022

When you speak about the most expensive art in the world, always the names ‘Basquiat’ and ‘Warhol’ come up, as sales of both artists work now exceed $100 million per piece. The still living member of the Warhol, Basquiat and Haring NYC Art Tribe is – Jack Armstrong. He has produced a significantly more rare body of work, fixed at 100 pieces and influenced by cosmic visions of enlightenment that uniquely helped him to discover a new style of Art that he founded and named – Cosmic ‘X‘ in 1999.

The official name: Cosmic Extensionalism has been written about worldwide. Yet, artist Jack Armstrong has never completely explained how he came to develop an art technique and style so completely different than anything else that has come before or after it in art history. When asked, he carefully explains it as: “A ‘universal transcendence’ in art and in artist that is a completely separate (new) art category and singularly unique in style and merit.”

This new art category was first created by the artist in 1999, precisely 30 years after his famous relative – Neil Armstrong landed on the Moon.

Armstrong explains, “My Cosmic ‘X’ art revelation took place in July of 1999, exactly 30 years after Neil’s first ‘steps’ on the Moon In 1969.”

Jack continues, “I understood in 1999, that most major art: Exhibited in Art-Fairs, Galleries and Museums was turning into conceptual nightmares of ridiculous proportion, offering nothing except the marketing of mass-produced pieces called art. Yet often made by an army of minimum wage (artist) assistants.”

“It was then I experienced a revolutionary enlightenment perhaps similar to Mr. Musk and his Mission to Mars. In my vision I realized that incomparable information ran thru me from different dimensions.  I used this information to create a new form of transmitting universal messages thru canvas and paint that can purely resonate into the universe for the ages.”

“I call it Cosmic ‘X’ because I channel it from the Universe and the other star planets we originate from.”

Jack further states, “One of my paintings is called ‘Ancient Universal Royals’ and that is the line we descend from. All this came in visions and dreams and the first painting was created in this vision. All the rest followed this pattern of letting the universe paint the art and using me only as a human facilitator.”

“This process is at a level that allows patterns & textures with words to appear from a universal alchemy I achieve through the meta-physical process I have developed with my universal cosmic X philosophy which induce trance like states that allow me to receive messages from other dimensions in cosmic revelations that are important for mankind to know as the ancient ones extend understanding which in essence is a cosmic reconnection for all beings.”
Stellar discovery: Human bodies are 97 percent stardust, claim scientists!

Cosmic Extensionalism[1] or Cosmic X is a new style of Art which was originally founded by Jack Armstrong in 1999.[2] Armstrong was inspired by an ethereal experience he had with the famous gem stone known as the Black Star Sapphire of Queensland. The stone is believed to have magical powers. At the time he destroyed all of his previous works.

Cosmic X is a genre of modern art styles as is the famous genres of “Cubism” by Picasso or “Pop Art” by Warhol. It was originally founded as an organic art movement and is singular by comparison.

Cosmic X requires the artist to become the art they are creating, by feeling no separation between the art itself. This requires a unique state of mind to be reached, connecting to a universal presence, which Armstrong believes exists in each being. It is this connection that creates the art, not the artist.”

Armstrong’s hair, fingerprints and DNA is present in all his paintings.

Since you can’t go head-to-head with one of the world’s greatest athletes, the next best thing is Lindsey Vonn’s new Legacy collection from HEAD Sportswear

Fusing Lindsey’s style and substance, the stunning silhouettes match the iconic racer’s lines that propelled her to 82 World Cup victories and an Olympic gold medal. The innovative materials and unparalleled workmanship of the Legacy collection make it pure perfection. Together, this cool collaboration blends high-tech materials, and sophistication – the perfect fusion of fashion and function.

Lindsey Vonn is know around the world. A list of successes that could hardly be any longer in skiing. During her successful career, Lindsey Vonn won an Olympic Gold medal, four overall World Cup titles, two world championships gold medals, and 16 Crystal Globes. In addition, she won World Cup races in all disciplines.

Lindsey Vonn’s New Legacy Collection from HEAD Sportswear

LEGACY COLLECTION COUTURE FOR THE SKI SLOPES
Lindsey’s inspiration comes from her love of the groovy 70s blend of oversized jackets and slim-fitted, sexy pants. Plus, key pieces include voluminous down jackets and vests combined with skin-tight jet pants and stirrup pants.

Lindsey Vonn’s favorite piece is the Daisy vest “I love the floral print and the pink – it’s very, very cool and stands out on the mountain. But… the coolest part is Lucy [my dog] is on the inside. She’s definitely a bigger star than I am,” she jokes.

HIGHEST TECH FABRICS AND NATURAL MATERIALS
The fashion-forward collection and the cutting technology were developed in Austria (HEAD) and Zurich, engineered in Italy, and manufactured in Europe. Trailblazing high tech/eco-friendly fabrics, such as PFC-free materials, were used along with premium natural materials, such as cashmere, wool, and ethical Fair Down Commitment white goose down.

Real Down YKK comes from certified and controlled farms and is a waste product of the food industry. It is important to HEAD Sportswear that the animals have been kept in species-appropriate conditions and have not been force-fed. In addition, they should not be plucked alive. To mark this on their products, HEAD Sportswear created the Fair Down Commitment themselves.

Cuddly soft merino-cashmere sweaters (made in a Florentine knitting factory) and silky, shiny bodysuits, created in collaboration with the traditional lingerie brand Wolford, make the unique legacy look possible even off-piste.

Roman Stepek, Vice President Global Head Sportswear states, “The cornerstone of the brand is always sport. But with the Legacy Line, we want to offer a more fashionable approach to HEAD Sportswear that still reflects the brand DNA with highly functional fabrics. In Lindsey Vonn we have found the ideal partner for the Legacy Line. A fascinating skier and extremely stylish athlete at the same time, who in 2017, 2018, and 2019 was among the ‘Fashionable 50’ of Sports Illustrated magazine, the American embodies the two worlds of sport and fashion perfectly.”

GOODMAN GALLERY

Goodman Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of new and existing bronze sculptures from William Kentridge’s ongoing series of bronze glyphs, alongside a drawing from his most recent animated film, City Deep. Kentridge’s glyphs are a visual dictionary of sorts made up of a series of sculptures that form a vocabulary of symbols, representing a collection of everyday objects, suggested words, or icons that are ubiquitous in the artist’s practice. The glyphs started as ink drawings and paper cut-outs, each on a single page from a dictionary. The drawings were transformed into bronzes, to embody the weight and character their shapes on paper suggested.

In their smaller formation, the glyphs can be arranged in order to construct sculptural sentences and rearranged to deny meaning. An example of this can be found in Drawing for City Deep (A Fault to be Discovered Later). City Deep is Kentridge’s most recent film from his Drawings for Projection series. The film, grounded within Kentridge’s home city of Johannesburg, can be viewed as a counterpoint to the 1990 film, Mine, which depicts images of the deep-level mining industry. City Deep extends this depiction to the informal, surface-level “zama zama” miners who illegally work decommissioned mines on the edges of the formal mining economy.

Dates: November 24, 2021 – End of January 2022
Location: 151 NE 41st Street, Suite 123

1913 Harley-Davidson 9B Single Cylinder Board Track Racer – For Sale at $50,000

After almost 12 decades in business, the Harley-Davidson name has a lot of history behind it. Completing their first prototype in 1903, the Harley-Davidson company grew fast in a world new to and starved for cheap mechanized transport. The motorcycle brand completed the construction of their first factory in 1906, rolling off about 50 machines of their assembly lines. Early versions came with small single-cylinder engines producing somewhere between 3 and 7 horsepower.

In 1913, Harley-Davidson offered 2 versions of their now tried and true single-cylinder machines. The Harley Model 9A which was belt-driven and the Model 9B which had a chain drive. In addition, both versions feature a single-cylinder 35 cubic inch F-head (or pocket valve) engine, producing around 4.34 horsepower. Plus it features magneto ignition. Additionally for 1913, in a huge leap forward, mechanically operated intake valves of the pushrod and rocker arm type, were now included on the single-cylinder models. inclusion of this system also meant that an additional cam would need to be included.

With the addition of these mechanically operated valves, they paved the way forward for not only Harley-Davidson but all motorcycle manufacturers. Thus, they began pushing their engines to higher horsepower in the never-ending quest for more speed. Production numbers for both models rounded out to be approximately 1510 9A examples produced and 4601 examples of the Model 9B.

The outstanding success of these early machines played a large role in Harley-Davidson becoming the household name that they are today. Today, Board Track Racing machines stand as a testament to a different era. As an example, with far less safety and regard for human life, meant a necessary developmental stage. For example, the quest for speed and bringing solid and reliable two-wheeled transportation into the 20th century.

The 1913 Harley-Davidson 9B Single Cylinder Board Track Racer, engine number 934D is for sale. The asking price is $50,000. This amazing and rare early Harley-Davidson has been built in the style of a board track racer. It is complete with a direct chain-drive mechanism and iconic downward sweeping board track style handlebars. Plus it features locked out pedals and lacking brakes.

The current owner and consignor is an early Harley-Davidson aficionado. He purchased the 1913 Harley-Davidson 9B Single Cylinder Board Track Racer motorcycle approximately 15 years ago. At the time, it joined his prized collection of numerous, other early Harley-Davidson machines.

The Harley-Davidson 9B has not been run in a long time. It has been stored properly and always very well cared for. The restoration still presents very nicely. Notice the correct colored grey paint laid down smooth and seamless over the tank, frame, and fenders. In addition, there is some scattered spotting in the paint on the tank. Thus, it appears almost as imperfections in the clear coat. Smooth to the touch, but apparent nonetheless.

The pinstriping was applied appropriately and remains striking and clean, minus where the previously mentioned spotting has affected it on the tank. Cosmetically the engine and mechanical pieces show in nice order. The metal is bright with no signs of any major issues. Lastly, the finned cylinder head shows no signs of issues and all fins appear to be solid.

This stunning Harley-Davidson 9B motorcycle sits on white reproduction Firestone tires. They are size 28 x 2 1/4. The tires show some minor cracking in the sidewalls. In addition, there is some discoloration and dirtiness. But they are perfectly suited to static display. The iconic and sweeping drop handlebars present quite nicely. Hence, they are finished with the appropriate style wrapped grips. Also, they feature leather control cable wraps, a nice finishing touch.

Overall this motorcycle represents an amazing look into the early days of motorcycling. The Harley-Davidson 9B represents the thrill and the death-defying sport of Board Track Racing that grew up alongside these amazing machines.

The Life of Luxury has personal connections all around the world for new, classic and vintage cars and motorcycles.

We hope you enjoy reading about this amazing 1913 Harley-Davidson 9B Single Cylinder Board Track Racer. Return soon to follow the latest news in the car and motorcycle industries.

Samuel Sloan Estate – Historical Mansion in New York State with Modernized LEED Certified Upgrades

A stunning historical mansion in New York State is on the market for $11,250,000. The luxury Samuel Sloan Estate offers amazing views of the Catskills, West Point Academy and the gorgeous countryside along the Hudson River. In addition, the luxurious historical mansion offers modernized LEED certified upgrades.

The Samuel Sloan Estate blends the past with the future, in a truly authentic way. The historical mansion in New York State sits on over 16 lush acres.

Kenneth J. Moore is the President of Classiques Modernes International Realty and represents the fully renovated Philipstown estate. The list price is $11.25 million. Moore says, “The first thing that hits you is its impressive scale. The original structure had baronial rooms that needed to be reimagined to complement today’s more intimate entertaining style. The volume remains–the soaring ceilings were kept–but the new residence now enjoys both formal and casual living spaces.”

Built in 1864, the railroad magnate’s house was originally known as Oulagisket. It underwent various transformations. In 1910 Samuel Sloane Jr. and his wife Katherine redesigned the home, renamed Lisburne Grange. Fletcher Steele, was one of the 20th century’s most glorified landscape architects. He augmented the estate’s surroundings with beautiful gardens and scenic lookouts. Enjoy breathtaking nature views.

The ingenuity of the historical mansion’s modernization is both poignant and dynamic. The new homeowner will appreciate the home’s energy efficient redesign, amongst a luxurious setting.

In 2014, the façade changed from Italianate to Greek revival. As a result, it features a two-story portico. Note the imposing columns, serving as a foreground to a full-width second floor loggia.

Samuel Sloan Estate

The expansive interior spans about 11,800 of livable square footage. Additionally, the full-sized cellar and attic offer 10,000 sq. ft. of supplementary amenity, storage, and utility spaces. The estate features six bedrooms, six full and three half baths. Plus, find a full floor dedicated to entertaining and recreation. Hence, it ensures plenty of room for sumptuous living. Also, the 3,500 sq. ft. carriage house can also be transformed into a three-story auxiliary house. Perfect for either guest and staff suites.

Classiques Modernes co-founder, Loy Carlos states, “Even among best-in-class properties, it’s a trailblazer. The visual I often use is driving. There is a healthy balance of looking forward, of checking the rearview mirror, and of still being aware of the present. This house pays homage to its history It’s equipped with the conveniences and luxuries of today. But it keeps a keen eye towards the future. Lastly, it promotes an evolutionary and principled lifestyle.”

From entertaining to weekends away from New York City, the Samuel Sloan Estate is just an hour away. In addition, the historical mansion is a stone’s throw away from Bear Mountain, Cold Spring and many other destinations.
