At the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Infiniti debuted their brand new luxury sedan – the 2014 Infiniti Q50 compact car.

The new 2014 Infiniti Q50 is available with a choice of a refined 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 or a new Q50 Hybrid featuring the Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid. The all-new 2014 Infiniti Q50 becomes the replacement car, taking the place of the popular, second generation G37 model.

Pricing begins at $37,050 and comes in six different luxury car models, including: Q50 3.7 – Q50 3.7 AWD – Q50 3.7 Premium – Q50 3.7 AWD Premium – Q50S 3.7 – Q50S 3.7 Premium.

At a recent live charity auction that was held in conjunction with the Naples Wine Festival, a record purchase was made for a Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 Roadster 50th Anniversario.

Racing legend and businessman Roger Penske, made a successful winning bid of $900,000 for this luxury car. The auction bid for the Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 Roadster was the most ever paid for Lamborghini’s flagship car at an auction.

The live charity auction benefits the Naples Children and Education Foundation in Florida.

The Aventador is Lamborghini’s flagship luxurious car model and the luxury car brand has sold more than 2,500 units. Two and a half years after its first market intro, the order bank for both models, Coupé and Roadster, covers the next 12 months.

Victor Young is the General Manager of the Lamborghini Sarasota dealership and stated, “This is our first year assisting the Naples Children and Education Foundation with their fundraising efforts and we couldn’t be happier with the result.”

Lamborghini developed The Veneno, Coupé, the Egoista and the Veneno Roadster to celebrate the luxury car brand’s 50th anniversary year in 2013.

German manufacturer BWM, unveiled a modified version of its 2014 BMW M235i Coupe at this year’s 2014 Consumer Electronics (CES) show in Las Vegas.

The new 2014 BMW M235i coupe is an incredible self-driving car that was put through a live demonstration during the show at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The BMW ConnectedDrive prototypes were well equipped with a variety of features including electronic braking, radar, steering control and throttle, cameras, GPS and ultrasonic sensors.

A BMW spokesperson was quoted, “The prototype illustrates the BMW Group’s aspiration to offer its customers a highly automated driving experience exuding emotional appeal – even at the car’s dynamic limit.”

The BMW M235i prototype cars are smart enough to take over the vehicle’s control even at high speeds. This technology allows the car to be controlled through lane changes plus re-entering the correct lane. It can even corner at a high rate of speed, in addition to drifting.

As part of the 2014 BMW M235i Coupe road test process, it was were driven on Germany’s famous Nurburgring race track and also a 40 mile stretch of road between Munich and Nuremberg, amongst other car traffic.

It’s clear that the 2014 BMW M235i Coupe prototype demonstrates what BMW has previously stated. An essential component of autonomous driving is the ability to safely master extreme driving situations.

Is there not a more well recognized brand in the luxury car industry than Rolls-Royce? Rolls-Royce has just introduced the incredible 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification.

The 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification is an upgraded Ghost sedan model that delivers more power and luxury. The Rolls-Royce Ghost was first introduced in 2010. It’s a slightly smaller option versus the highly popular and large Rolls-Royce Phantom sedan.

Don’t worry, the new 2014 Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Specification brings the speed. The Rolls-Royce sedan features an enhanced twin turbo V12 6.6 engine that produces 593 HP and 80% of torque from idle.

Paired with an eight-speed automatic, the Ghost V-Spec goes from 0-60 mph in under 4.7 seconds. The sedan’s top speed is limited to 155 mph. The unique powertrain delivers an impressive 30bhp / 22kw power increase.

Rolls-Royce offers a wide variety of color schemes to choose from. There are stunning luxury colors including Arctic White, Graphite, Black Kirsch and Infinity Black.

With the 2014 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance nearing early next year, one of the featured experiences will be to view the BMW Batmobile racers.

The Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is clearly one of the top automotive events in the world. Get a chance to view nearly 250 rare vehicles from car collections around the world. The event is held between March 7-9, 2014 at The Golf Club of Amelia Island, The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island.

The BMW Batmobile racers were first seen in the U.S. after arriving from Europe. They had giant wings, large fender boxes and huge spoilers. The Batmobile was powered by a beefy 430 hp straight-six engine that produced a stunning rumbling noise and allowed BMW’s luxury coupe to reach speeds of over 180 mph.

Road racing fans across the U.S. took one look at the cutting edge race car and simply fell in love. In addition, their admiration also provided the new BMW racing coupes their well known nickname today – “the Batmobiles”.

The first debut of the BMW Batmobile came at the 1973 Six Hours of the Nurburgring. It was a result of a corporate war between the be-winged BMW 3.0 CSLs and Ford’s Capri.

Ford invited Grand Prix stars Jackie Stewart and Emerson Fittipaldi, in addition to the Amelia’s 2014 honoree Jochen Mass. They led the blue-oval’s fight against BMW’s F1 stars Chris Amon, Hans Stuck and future World Formula 1 Champion Niki Lauda. But BMW won the most important race on the European Championship calendar that weekend. As a result the Batmobile legend was born.

Back in the summer of 1975, BMW entered a very special version of the 3.0 CSL “Batmobile” coupe at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. BMW’s first “Art Car” was created by Alexander Calder, an American artist known for his giant mobiles.

Alexander Calder’s 3.0 CSL was the first in a line of BMW Art Cars that spanned three decades. It set off a series of BMW’s racers rendered by famous artists. Frank Stella, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein interpretations of the 3.0 CSL followed Calder’s Le Mans “Batmobile”.

Known as a very charitable event, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance show’s Foundation has donated over $2.2 million to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, Inc. and other charities on Florida’s First Coast since its inception in 1996.

Definitely a highlight and not to be missed, the Florida car event will host a special class for BMW’s rare “Batmobiles” at the 19th annual edition of the spring show that opens the international concours season.

Alfa Romeo and Zagato are definitely two of the most charismatic names in entire automotive history. For vintage car loves, now you have your chance to bid on this incredible vintage car.

Bonhams will be holding its Scottsdale, Arizona auction next month. This fifth series, Alfa Romeo car model still retains its original Zagato coachwork in its entirety, in addition to all of its original drivetrain components.

The 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 was first delivered to French gentleman driver and aviator, Baron Philippe de Gunzbourg. The Zagato Spider was used by the Baron as his daily transport vehicle during the same time that he and Luigi Chinetti co-drove an Alfa Romeo 8C in the 1933 24 Hours of Le Mans and proudly took second place.

This particular car is one of the finest examples of the brilliant Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 that is known to exist.

In 2007, the Alfa Romeo was found in an original and unrestored state in a French barn. The stunning has since gone through a meticulous, restoration by renowned expert Stephen Babinsky of Automotive Restorations.

The car has done the high-end car show circuit, including displays at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, Amelia Island Concours, plus the 2013 Mille Miglia.

The rare Alfa Romeo car just completed being on display in New York City at Madison Avenue headquarters of Bonhams. It was shown along with the gorgeous 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL “Gullwing” Coupe and singular Figoni & Falaschi-bodied 1947 Bentley MK VI Coupe.

The Bahamas Speed Week Revival was a very popular event back in the 1950s and 1960s bring the flare of car racing to this Caribbean country. The race returned to Nassau in 2011 and next week the city is proud to host it once again.

The third annual Bahamas Speed Week Revival will be held in this tropical getaway between Dec. 4 and 8, 2013.

Speed Week expands beyond past year’s programs with a Formula Junior race, an Austin Healey race, a classic/vintage Mini race and now also an Allcomers race for classic/vintage racers.

This year’s Bahamas Speed Week Revival participants will enjoy an exclusive Welcome Reception at the Government House from Governor General Sir Arthur and Lady Foulkes, in addition to the Arawak Cay Fish Fry Race Car Show. · Maserati 200S – This limited edition build was made by Maserati of Italy as a 1955 racing car. Italian entrant Mikel Willms will bring one of the twenty-eight existing models to Speed Week 2013.

· Ferrari 250 GT Lightweight Boano – a Speed Week classic, this car left the factory on Nov. 7, 1956, in the ownership of Jan de Vroom and was shipped directly to the Bahamas from Italy specifically to compete in Speed Week. It returns to the revival following restoration and certification and will be driven by Belgium entrant Theo Spooren.

The Bahama’s Speed Week 2013 will be led by five-time Le Mans winner, Derek Bell who will also be driving an Audi R8 Spyder during Speed Week Revival. British born Bell has also won the Daytona 24 Hour Race three times and the World Sportscar Championship twice.

To celebrate 50 years of McLaren, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance will showcase a 2014 Honoree Jochen Mass’ 1977 McLaren M23 Formula 1 racer as part of the “Cars of Jochen Mass” class. This historic Cosworth-powered M23 took Mass to second place in the 1977 Swedish Grand Prix at the 2.497 mile Anderstorp circuit.

Bruce McLaren Motor Racing Ltd. was originally created way back in 1963 by Bruce McLaren after he drove for Cooper Cars. Bruce McLaren won the 1959 and 1960 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship and the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix. Bruce McLaren also personally won two Can-Am titles in 1967 and 1969 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, alongside countryman Chris Amon in 1966, driving a Ford GT40.

Although Bruce McLaren passed away in 1970, his legacy and strong company brand continues to this day. Between 1972 and 1976, McLaren cars took three Indianapolis 500 victories, plus winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995 with the F1.

The luxurious Bentley Continental GT3 will make its race debut in Abu Dhabi this December 13.

Bentley has a long standing heritage in the motorsports arena and now 10 years after their victory at Le Mans, Bentley will return to the racetrack with the Continental GT3 at the 2013 Gulf 12 Hours.
