Angelina Jolie – Honorary Damehood from Her Majesty the Queen

What more can you say about Angelina Jolie? She’s a popular Hollywood actress and humanitarian, plus married to handsome, hunk Brad Pitt.

Jolie has been involved in numerous Hollywood hit movies including her role as Lara Croft in the blockbuster Tomb Raider.

Jolie was just recognized in the Diplomatic Service and Overseas Birthday 2014 Honours list. Angelia was very proud to receive the honorary damehood (DCMG) from Queen Elizabeth for services to U.K. foreign policy. The award was due to her effort and campaign to end war-zone sexual violence.

After the meeting with Queen Elizabeth, Angelina Jolie was joined by her husband Brad Pitt in addition to their six children.

Jolie wore a gorgeous suit made from British couture house Ralph & Russo. The suits was dove grey in color and included a wool crepe peplum jacket and pencil skirt. She accessorized with a cinching belt and silk chiffon bow neck tie.

The official spokesperson for Buckingam Palace was quoted, “The audience itself between Miss Jolie and the queen was private. Her Majesty presented her with the insignia in its box. Mr. Pitt and the rest of the family were introduced to the queen afterwards, however.”

It’s been a memorable last couple of months for Angelina Jolie. She finally married her long time partner Brad two as the famous couple was married in August.

The duo will be busy as they both ready to promote their upcoming, new movie releases. Brtad stars in “Fury” and Jolie was a director in the movie “Unbroken.”
