Robert Pattinson wasn’t a household name or even B-star until he starred in blockbuster Vampire movie, “Twilight.”

Pattinson has wooed teenage girls with his rippling eye brows and matinee-idol looks. Robert Pattinson became an overnight movie heartthrob after appearing as the ageless and attractive vampire Edward Cullen in the 2008 teen romance film – Twilight.

Now, the young British actor is well on his way to the top of the celebrity A-list.

Robert Pattinson was born on May 13, 1986 in London, England. He attended Tower House School and Harrodian School.

Pattinson’s first film role was playing the role of Giselher in Ring of the Nibelungs. Next he took the role of Rawdy Crawley in the movie Vanity Fair, along with beautiful Reese Witherspoon.

Robert Pattinson gained fan appeal for his role as Cedric Diggory in both – Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007.

Other roles included playing Toby Jugg in The Haunted Airman, as well as Daniel Gale in The Bad Mother’s Handbook.

Ultimately, it was Robert Pattinson casting as vampire Edward Cullen that truly established him as a leading actor in Hollywood.

With Twilight behind him and New Moon recently released, Pattinson will also star in the next two movies in the popular Twilight franchise: Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. His leading woman of course is the attractive Kristen Stewart.

In his free time, Robert enjoys playing both piano and  the guitar. He has two sisters and was named Rolling Stone Magazine’s Hottest Actor of 2008.

In 2009 the awards kept coming. Robert won the following awards: Best Actor Award for his role in How To Be in First Glance Film Festival, Bravo A-List Breakout Award for same movie, Best Male Breakthrough Performance, Best Kiss and Best Fight for role in Twilight, in 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

In February of 2009, Pattinson presented at the 81st Academy Awards. Robert was also voted “Sexiest Man Alive” in 2009 by Glamour magazine.

A major honor for this movie star, Robert Pattinson was named the 2009 Sexiest Man Alive by People. It looks like he has officially solidified his place as an  A-list, mainstream Hollywood celebrity.

When asked how much of the real Pamela Anderson does the public see, “There’s no way I set out to be a certain kind of symbol — the way I dress is the way I am, is the way I live my life. You know, he’s a good person and — but we just get along better this way. There was never an intention of getting back together. It’s just, you know, we love each other.”

Katharine McPhee explains, “I’ve totally struggled with body weight and stuff like that. Before American Idol it was like was part of my struggle with being an actress was I up and down with my weight, and I would get such good feedback from casting directors.

It’s part of Hollywood and it’s a shame that you have to be so skinny and in such good shape and it was just such a huge struggle for me.”

Katharine McPhee continues, “I actually met a dietician before American Idol because I wanted to get all my stuff in check. And she just taught me to eat normally and to have like peace with food and stuff like that.”

If “Idol” hadn’t happened, what would she be doing now? “I’d have moved to New York by now to try to pursue acting or theater. Or maybe I’d have stayed in L.A., trying to be an actress, pounding the pavement.”

After the American Idol season ended, Katharine McPhee was signed by show creator Simon Fuller’s 19 Recordings Limited label and released her first single, Somewhere Over the Rainbow/My Destiny; it became the second best-selling single of 2006.

2007 has been quite a year for George Clooney. On June, George left his hand and feet prints in cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Clooney was chosen as one of People Magazine’s annual 100 Most Beautiful People in the World, in May and in August, he was named Most Eligible Bachelor by the website Forbes.com.

On Clooney’s hopes for world peace, “The great thing about our country is we sort of fix it, otherwise women wouldn’t be voting, blacks would still be sitting in the back of the bus, and we’d still be fighting in Vietnam.”

When asked if ever wants to be a father, George replies, “I’m so selfish and I get nervous around kids, and I know I’m not ready for that kind of life. I’ve settled into a very comfortable lifestyle and I really don’t want to change things.

I’ve learnt enough about myself to know that my work is the main thing which drives me and whatever woman comes into my life is going to have deal with that, which isn’t easy.”
