Teri Hatcher

On the stress of Hollywood, Teri Hatcher says “I haven’t tried to kill myself, but I’ve certainly thought about it, and then I feel guilty about thinking about it, because what’s so terrible about my life?”

When asked about ever getting over her past molestation, “I don’t think so… I don’t think so. I think that whoever ends up in my life — my girlfriends, a man who I might be intimate with — I think they’ll have to want to embrace it as part of me. I think it’s better to embrace your experiences as a part of you, than try to compartmentalize them, and pretend that they don’t exist… But it doesn’t dominate me.

Teri has suffered two injuries on the set of Desperate Housewives. She suffered an eye injury when a light bulb exploded. She also broke 2 ribs while filming the scene in which she stumbles into a wedding cake.

On her role as Susan, “We are similar in some ways, but I think where we most relate is that I can be incredibly well intended, try very hard to get something right, and it just goes wrong. You know? I’m unlucky that way and I think she’s very unlucky.”

About rumors of using Botox, “I don’t use Botox or Restylane and I’ve never had any surgery. A male friend in the fashion industry once asked me, ‘Why is make-up any different to getting Botox?’ I said I didn’t think it was a fair comparison, make-up is removable, it’s not permanent. But changing the natural chemical state of who you are? I’m not sure.”
