Johan’s childhood friend Jan felt the city needed unprecedented luxury in the city center. The South African founders were inspired by the opportunity to meld heritage and old-world elegance with visionary new world design.

Two unique elements include the hotel’s Governor Suite (one of Cape Town’s largest penthouses) and the first city outcrop of beloved local restaurant Starling’s on the hotel’s ground floor. The bezels of select ARRAW Marine timepieces have been set with round brilliant or baguette cut diamonds. While the surfaces of a few special models have been fully paved with diamonds, from the bezel to the case. The self-winding chronograph offers up to 42 hours of power reserve. A screw-down crown protects the movement from the elements, reinforcing the water-resistance of the ARRAW Marine up to 330 feet. Renowned “Cosmic X” artist Jack Armstrong, has just completed a painting to replace the $13M “Steve McQueen Le Mans” painting stolen in Dallas last year. The new one is titled, Cosmic ‘X’ Paradigm and is now available for sale at $110 million.

The news of the theft was first published in May 2018 by The Hollywood Times – Iconic $13M Painting ‘Steve McQueen Le Mans’ Stolen In Dallas and shocked the art industry. While on loan prior to a celebrity exhibition in New York City, the amazing painting has reported to be stolen from a private home in Texas. To date, this crime still remains unsolved.

Jack Armstrong created it to honor Steve McQueen’s popular 1971 film Le Mans. The legendary film star was known for performing his own stunt driving in the movie.

Armstrong said that McQueen’s performance in both Bullitt & Le Mans inspired the painting. Jack first met Steve McQueen in 1977 at Musso & Frank Grill in Hollywood, California. It’s the oldest restaurant in Hollywood and celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. Like many Hollywood celebrities, Musso Franks was a favorite eating establishment of McQueen.

Jack recounts, “I spent over an hour with Steve & told him I planned to one day create the most expensive motorcycle & most valuable art car in the world. He said Kid, New York City is the right place for you to be seen. Keep in touch with me. If they turn out great, I might be interested in them myself. Right after meeting Steve, I planned my NYC move thanks to his encouragement.”

Widely known as “The King of Cool“, Steve McQueen personally encouraged Armstrong’s journey to New York City, where he later was associated with famous artists Andy Warhol and Jean Michel Basquiat.

Jack said, “Talking to the biggest movie star in the world seemed completely ‘cosmic’ for an art kid born in Kansas and grew up in Omaha. My ‘Steve McQueen Le Mans’ painting was created in my ‘Cosmic X’ style of art. It’s the only piece of mine dedicated to a Hollywood personality.”

He was asked about the stunning theft of the McQueen painting last year. Jack comments, “Art at the Cosmic X level has a universal appeal. For the person that desires it above anything else, if they cannot afford it, theft is a result. I do not think the painting will be recovered as 7 other examples of my works have been taken & never found. Perhaps, I will simply create 7 new pieces some day so there will be 100 Cosmic X originals, once again.”

As a result, to continue honoring Steve McQueen, Jack decided to replace the original $13M “Steve McQueen Le Mans” painting.

“The painting is a direct inspiration from my universal Cosmic ‘X’ book series. It includes a metaphysical cosmic realization in the art that details humanity’s future paradigm.” Cosmic ‘X’ Paradigm, the final Armstrong Cosmic ‘X’ masterpiece, is 24×36 acrylic on canvas. It is (1) of only 5 Cosmic X paintings now priced at $100M or above.”

This time our discussion is about the upcoming documentary film “Mirroring Michael Jackson.” As a tribute, the world’s most expensive glove has been created in honor of the 10th anniversary of the “King Of Pop” Michael Jackson’s passing.

Cosmic Artist Jack Armstrong created the “Cosmic X Love Glove” over a 3 month period. It will be featured in the upcoming MJ documentary film titled “Mirroring Michael Jackson.”

Back in 1983, Michael Jackson was #1 on Billboard’s top album and singles charts for a staggering six weeks in a row. With this milestone, it made Michael the first artist in music history to reach the peak of the four pop and R&B charts at the same time. What an incredible accomplishment!

The Mirroring Michael Jackson film’s producer is Kira Madallo Sesay. She asked Jack Armstrong if he could create a new, cosmic art love glove that MJ could have worn on tour, if he were back on earth magically performing one final show.  When asked about the “Cosmic X Love Gove”, Kira was quoted, “The Golden MJ Glove is iconic cosmic art that will be known forever and uniquely signifies Michael Jackson’s reign as the King Of Pop, alongside his golden vision of peace & love for the world.”

Jack replied, “Given his penchant for sequins, golden pants, jackets & accessories …. I created a multi-layered Cosmic X Love Glove, that includes multi-colored Cosmic ‘X’ painted surfaces. They almost look as if MJ is making a fist in the air to show he is still with us & leading us to be better caretakers of the planet, share love & hope with the world. And of course, inspiring all the brilliant new entertainers that will follow his legendary ‘moonwalk’ into showbiz.”

Armstrong continues, “Michael always said it wasn’t about how famous you become, but how much you do for the people in your community & in the world. MJ gave more money than any other entertainer in history to charities & helped thousands around the world.  He provided generous donations while visiting sick children in hospitals everywhere he traveled. All the while, Michael was inspiring millions with his music & new vision for the world.”

In addition, he also would have politically campaigned to help change the prison & judicial system in America, for people wrongfully arrested & imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. These subjects were all very close to his heart & he spoke about change often.”

With considered naval architecture and precision, lightweight aluminium construction, Masa will reach a rapid top speed of 23 knots thanks to two MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines. At 50 metres and coming in below 500GT, Masa perfectly combines performance, comfort, space and refined luxury.

After launching, Masa will remain in the shipyard’s harbour basin for the final elements of construction and the commissioning of her systems. For her maiden voyage, Masa will then cruise to Hellevoetsluis where she will begin her rigorous sea trials and official tests before final handover to her owners in June 2019.
