Wai’oli Hui’ia Church – Kauai

The beautiful Wai’oli Hui’ia Church & Mission House Museum in Hanalei, is one of the most popular photographic subjects for visitors to Kauai.

Wai’oli Mission Hall and picturesque Wai’oli Hui’ia Church (founded in 1834) are nearby.

The original Waioli Mission Hall building was first established by American Christian missionaries back in the mid 1830′s and is currently the oldest surviving church building on the lush island of Kauai.

Wai’oli Hui’ia Church is a United Church of Christ, and is most commonly known as the “Green Church” due to it painted an emerald green color.

Wai’oli Mission House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
