Frederique Constant – Runabout Chronograph Automatic Collection
To celebrate the 42nd Annual Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance, luxury watch brand Frederique Constant has introduced the Runabout Chronograph Automatic Collection.
This year’s show occurred over the weekend and collectors’ event and wooden boat show was held at the Lake’s West Shore at Obexer’s Boat Company.
Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance was a great way to view about 100 vintage and classic boat entries from runabouts and racers to unique utility boats and custom built wooden yachts. These boats date all the way back to pre and post-World War II. Many classic boats were displayed including Chris Crafts, Gar Woods, plus the legendary Rivas.
Frederique Constant has been proud sponsor of the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance since 2010. The Swiss luxury watch brand awarded two Runabout timepieces to the winners of the Best in Marque Class and Best in Show category.
As a salute to the iconic Riva water craft, Frederique Constant introduced the 2014 limited edition Runabout Chronograph Automatic Collection.
The two new luxury watch models from Frederique Constant feature the ultra-precise FC-393 automatic chronograph movement. This allows 28,800 beats per hour, 25 jewels and an appreciated 46-hour power reserve. The watch functions include hours, minutes, seconds, date in addition to a mechanical chronograph. The date window can be found at the 3 o’clock position.
For water enthusiasts, don’t worry. This new luxury watch model is water resistant down to 50 metres.
The Frederique Constant watch case has diameter of 42mm. The watch dial is protected by a diamond-hard convex sapphire crystal. With the see-through case back, watch owners will be able to view the watch’s internal mechanics in action.
There is the FC-393RM5B4 model which comes with a gorgeous rose gold plated case. The FC-393RM5B6 watch model from Frederique Constant features a stunning, hand polished stainless steel case.
Quantities are limited for the Frederique Constant – Runabout Chronograph Automatic Collection. Only 2,888 of each watch will be manufactured.
