Dining Under the Australian Outback Stars at the Ayers Rock Resort
Ayers Rock Resort
Wildlife and the glamorous city of Sydney have always completed Australia’s signature image. On April 1 of this year, visitors have a new reason to be swept away by all that Australia has to offer: the Beautiful Dune. In the local Ananu language, “Tali Wiru” is part of the Ayers Rock Resort experience.
Located in the cultural landscape of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, in Australia’s Northern Territory, Ayers Rock Resort offers over 65 tours, local activities, and attractions within the resort and its surrounding parks. Among those, the Tali Wiru, reserved to a group of twenty people, is the one of the most exclusive dining experiences in the Australian outback.
With the pale orange sunset as the backdrop, dinner at the Tali Wiru begins with French champagne and canapés around the fire while guests are serenaded by the classic sounds of the didgeridoo (a wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians of northern Australia around 1500 years ago).
As the sun sets over the iconic Uluru, guests of Tali Wiru are then escorted to the private dune top to enjoy a four-course dinner accompanied by premium Australian wines. The breathtaking views of the majestic outback from the dune top are nothing short of extraordinary.
Ayers Rock Resort has successfully combined luxurious fine dining and intimate nature experience with the Tali Wiru. The “under the stars” dining experience is available every day of the week except Tuesdays and Thursdays.
