The new 2009 Maserati Gran Turismo S features significant improvements and upgrades compared to the previous model.
The 2009 Maserati Gran Turismo S is a splendid symmetry of muscle and sinew, with side skirts and a spoiler integrated on the boot lid. Seven-spoke 20 inch wheels make this a beast.
The 2009 Gran Turismo S is Maserati’s fastest production model ever. The powerful 4.7 V8 engine pushes out 433 hp with a 0-62 of 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph.
Up to this point, the bigger V8 engine only got an electronically actuated auto or a row-your-own transmission. That left the auto to the weaker 4.2 liter V8. for those transmission lovers, now the Maserati masters are exchanging a ZF 6 speed auto.
Typical high-performance split weight distribution (47 percent in the front and 53 in the rear) keeps this car flat on corners and gives it a grounded feel. The dual cast brakes of cast iron and aluminum, a collaboration with Brembo, are a sure, smooth stop.
The car can be outfitted in wide variety of Eco-friendly Italian leathers. Buyers can choose from a variety of molding for the dash, door and rear side panels. Three types of wood and lacquered finishes are also available.
Do you desire a special color? No worries here. Recently a sheik from Dubai purchased one in the exact color of his wife’s blue eye shadow, so he could get a perfect match for the interior.
