Portraiture – An Affordable Luxury
As the economy continues to struggle, more and more people are saving money and spending more time at home.
Although being at home more than in the past, it doesn’t mean they should have to cut out the finer things in life.
People are looking for affordable luxuries. Portraiture, especially portraits of their cherished children is “The New Status Symbol,” according to Boston Home Magazine.
MSN’s Encarta defines Portraiture as a visual representation of individual people, distinguished by references to the subject’s character, social position, wealth, or profession.
In the broadest sense, portraiture can include representations of animals (favored pets or prize-winning livestock, for example) or even representations of dwellings.
Portraiture of people have steadily increased and it looks to stay that way for many years to come.
