The luxury Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club is located just blocks from Naples’ renowned shopping districts of fashionable 5th Avenue South and historic 3rd Street South.
The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club has just completed additional enhancements to its championship golf course.
This luxurious Southwest Florida beachfront resort consists of 317-rooms and the resort completed a $22 million renovation in 2010. The multi-phase project at Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club included the renovation of guest rooms and suites, and the addition of a new $5 million beachfront pool complex.
The 18-hole, par-72 championship course at the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club now boasts new grass on all of the fairways. This follows the enhancements in the summer of 2010 which included new grass on 12 of the greens, and on all 18 tee boxes, and new bridges over some of the course’s water features.
The design of the championship golf course and the yardage still remain the same. The Florida golf course continues open to the public, offering discounts as long as guests stay at the luxury resort, according to Head Golf Professional George Willard.
Willard also states that the Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club course was first built in 1927. The course is proud to be recognized as Naples’ original golf course.
Updated over the years – first by Mark Mahanna in 1948, then by famed golf course architect Ron Garl in 1980, 1993 and 1998 – the course was renovated to enhance the qualities that have always made it so popular.
The golf course measures 6,448 yards from the blue tees and the resort’s legendary course is designed for both enjoyment and challenge. The course’s pristine natural setting provides golfers with an incredible sense of serenity.
