Return of the Orient Express – The New Presidential Suite

For the past 140 years, the legendary and iconic Orient Express train has been synonymous with luxury travel. It will begin operating again in 2025. The luxury train – Simplon–Orient-Express, ran from Paris to Constantinople (Istanbul) for more than 80 years (1883–1977).

But beginning in 2025, the famous train will invite travelers to relive the legend aboard 17 original Orient Express cars. Amazingly, the heritage of this legendary train will be on display to a collection of luxury hotels around the world. The historic train cars date back to the 1920s and 1930s. They will be gorgeously adorned with exceptional decor.

Occupying an entire train car of the former Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express, the Presidential Suite features unprecedented dimensions. It measures 69 feet long and 9 feet wide. The 55 square meter space was beautifully designed to accommodate a theatrical “4 Column room.”  Plus, the suite is adorned with the most beautiful Lalique panels and a gas fireplace. Wrapped in embroidered velvet, the spacious bedroom offers a more subtle decor.  Thus, it includes custom-made furniture and is home to an elegant bathroom.

True to its heritage, the Presidential Suite opens onto a unique collector’s item. An “LX” luxury cabin that dates back from 1929. The cabin has two beds and adorned with solid mahogany and Nelson and Prou marquetry. Interestingly, the beds were found aboard the Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express and fully restored. Lastly, the ultimate surprise is the Cabinet de l’Égoïste, a secret room dedicated to good vibes and epicurean festivities.

There will be a global event in Paris, France in late 2025. One month after the Parisian event, the train is heading to Miami, Florida. The dates will be from November 30 to December 4, during the 18th edition of the international Design Miami/ fair. In addition, event guests will discover the legendary train via an original immersive experience, complete with virtual reality.

Orient Express is bringing its virtual immersion concept to the United States for the first time ever at Design Miami. The event will invite visitors to a new space. Bathed in midnight blue, Orient Express’ signature color, and engraved with its iconic star. The journey will discover the future Bar-Car and Restaurant-Car, the Suites and corridors of the train. Plus, learn about the second chapter of the project: the Presidential Suite.

Are you interested in riding the iconic Orient Express? It is a dream, VIP experience for many people. Return soon to follow the latest, luxury travel news.

Many visitors to Germany will even be able to find “allergy-friendly communities.” For example, there are especially considerate of the needs of those with allergies and intolerances. Thus, the European Center of Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) awards qualifying regions with a seal. It validates the product or service has been fully adapted to the needs of persons with food intolerances. On a regular basis, a review reflects the latest scientific findings.

A popular example of an allergy-friendly community for travelers with food allergies is the island of Borkum. It is located in the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea area. Hence, the coastal climate is ideal for those who suffer from pollen sensitivities. Therefore, you will find many allergy-friendly offers, including supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, vacation rentals, and hotels.

If you plan to stay in Borkum, be treated to numerous accommodation options. Plus, other parts of Germany also offer special bedding. They use pollen filters in their air conditioning systems and vacuum cleaners.

Another charming allergy-friendly region is Schmallenberg. This town is the Sauerland in North-Rhine Westphalia. The historic town center consists of original half-timbered houses and small businesses. It invites visitors to enjoy unique shopping experiences with many options for allergy-sufferers in terms of both, retail and hospitality.
