New Fine Restaurant at Bellagio – Lago by Julian Serrano

Opening in March of 2015, Lago by Julian Serrano will be a new Italian restaurant concept from one of the most celebrated chefs in Las Vegas.

The interior of Lago restaurant showcases a façade to immediately capture the attention of dining guests and seen from across the Bellagio resort. Upon entering Lago, you are enveloped in a colorful, 15 by 100 foot mosaic that’s made from Italian glass and portrays an aerial map of Milan, Italy.

The luxurious Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas is proud to announce that famous chef Tony Hu will be opening his new luxury restaurant – Lao Sze Chuan.

During a recent stay at the luxury Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa, I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the resort’s Duck Club Restaurant.

The Duck Club Restaurant has long enjoyed a stellar reputation as Bodega Bay’s most romantic and picturesque restaurant.

The restaurant offers the very best that Sonoma County has to offer, including fresh ingredients from local, organic family farmers and top Sonoma wines.

The Duck Club Restaurant menu provides a variety of tasty selections including: Crisp, Roast Half Liberty Duck, Gleason Ranch Chicken, Grilled Filet Mignon, Flat Iron Chimichurri, Sonoma Coast Halibut, Seared Day Boat Scallops, Duet of Raviolis, and Sonoma Lamb T-Bones.

For starters, I went with the Hearts of Romaine Caesar Salad with Parmigiano-Reggiano Croutons and for the entree, I chose the Crisp, Roast Half Liberty Duck.

The meal by talented Chef Jeff Reilly, was superbly delicious. The Duck Breast was perfectly pan-roasted and served in several slices, along with Baby Green Beans, Baby Pattypan, Wild and Basmati Rice Medley, and Blackberry Ginger Sauce.

While enjoying the fine meal by the stone fireplace, you couldn’t help but embrace the restaurant’s serene atmosphere. Gazing out the large windows, hearing the faint sound of the famous Bodega Bay foghorn, and the crackle from the warm fire … it doesn’t get much better than this.

For dessert, I selected the Creme Brulee, which was excellent. Along with the restaurant’s ambiance, it was a perfect way to end the evening.

I also enjoyed my morning breakfast at the Duck Club Restaurant. After a tall glass of fresh Orange Juice, I indulged in the James Beard’s French Toast which was made from seasoned buttermilk batter and prepared with a crunchy crust, and served with mouth-watering Vermont maple syrup.

The local view outside was a moment to savior. You could see across the salt marsh towards the Pacific Ocean, while watching countless birds soaring through the early morning sky.

So for an amazing fine dining experience in Bodega Bay, I highly recommend the award-winning Duck Club Restaurant at the Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa.

      The Waterfront at Maalaea Restaurant – Maui

      The family-owned Waterfront at Maalaea restaurant on Maui, has won many prestigious awards for wine excellence, service, and seafood, but its biggest boost is word of mouth.

      Dishes that are prepared “tableside” at a restaurant are hard to find these days. But this place makes a Caesar salad from scratch right in front of your table. The delicious salad consists of – crisp romaine lettuce tossed with virgin olive oil, anchovies, crushed garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire, fresh lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese and a coddled egg finished with garlic-herbed croutons, prepared table side for two or more.

      The Waterfront at Maalaea provides its give you a list of the fish that was caught that day and then you choose the preparation. I ordered Onaga (red snapper) prepared “En Bastille” style: imprisoned in ribbons of fresh angel hair potato then sautéed and topped with fresh scallions, mushrooms, and tomatoes then served with our meunière sauce (white wine, lemon juice, garlic, herbs, butter).

      Customers continually say “It was one of the best fish dinners they’ve ever had.” Their meals are always cooked to perfection with all the right flavors and textures.
