There is an exciting buzz in the air. The new book titled Cosmic X from artist Jack Armstrong is nearing its highly anticipated launch. Scheduled for January 2019, Cosmic X (bookcover photo above) will be a fascinating journey of the incredible life experiences and philosophic realization of the iconic artist – Jack Armstrong.

Jack has been painting since an early age and says, “All natural talent is inborn & appreciation is important, which gives you an innate sense of wonderment, which is something all children have. It is the greatest gift, if you can keep it alive as an adult.”

Early in his art career, Armstrong was a model in NYC. During this period, he became friends and collaborated with three legends of the art world – Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.

Cosmic Starship – Custom Harley Davidson – Price: $50 million

This Harley Davidson V-Rod motorcycle was purchased new by Jack Armstrong in 2009. It is the very first, plus most iconic motorcycle ever painted by an artist. The photos are stunning enough, but to see it in person is truly a VIP experience. The Cosmic Starship was originally sold in August of 2012. The custom painted Harley motorcycle has been carefully stored in a climate controlled vault. Therefore, it is in pristine condition.

Due to its uniqueness at the time, the interest to see it was overwhelming. Over the years, the Cosmic Starship has been written about and covered by the media in every country in the world, including isolated North Korea. Painted in 2001 by Jack Armstrong, “Warhol Naked” is a beautiful piece of modern art. The acrylic painting on canvas measures 24″ by 36″. Jack personally new Andy Warhol. Therefore, the painting is a tribute and a celebration of his friendship with Andy. One the proudest moments in Jack’s life so far is when Warhol called him “the Last Wizard of Art.” This happened in 1985, prior to Warhol’s sad death 1987. Jack considers this painting as his “finest work.”

“The Last Wizard” – Price: $120 Million

The largest and most complex painting Jack Armstrong ever painted is titled ““The Last Wizard”.” This colorful and visually brilliant, acrylic on canvas painting is 6 feet by 4 feet in size. Not only is it his largest painting, but also showcases his complete mastery of the Cosmic X art form. The very one Armstrong personally founded in 1999.

Armstrong is quoted, “I feel the same way about “The Last Wizard” as Pollock must have felt about his painting “Blue Poles”, “Guernica” to Picasso, “Orange” by Rothko, and “Untitled” by Basquiat. In the future ‘The Last Wizard’ will break the records of his peers, but the power of all these larger than life works will remain as the signposts that signaled the future of art.”

Over the last 12 years, Celtic Woman has been an incredible phenomenon, featuring classic Irish music. Many people first hear about the popular group from their numerous TV specials on PBS. The current Celtic Woman – Voices of Angels tour offers a blend of both modern hit ballads and more traditional Celtic songs.

Performing to sold out shows all around the world, about 4 million people have had the pleasure of seeing Celtic Woman in person. The group has produced 12 albums and sold greater than 10 million records. Released in 2016, their latest album is titled Voices of Angels. It includes 16 songs, such as music hits “My Heart Will Go On” and “Time To Say Goodbye”, along with “Ave Marie”, “Mo Ghile Mear” (My Gallant Star) and “Across The World”. The songs were recorded with the sensational 72-piece Orchestra of Ireland.

The current all-women group is made up of four, extremely talented performers – Susan McFadden, Mairéad Carlin, Éabha McMahon, plus violinist Tara McNeill. Like the show’s title, they truly have “voices of angels.”

In 2012, Susan McFadden became part of Celtic Woman. She has been part of the current group the longest. Susan was born in Dublin and was musically trained at the famous Billie Barry Stage School. She has performed in both television and theater. While living in London, she took part in “Grease” and “Legally Blond.” In Dublin, Susan played the role of “Kathy” in Singin’ in the Rain.

Máiread Carlin joined Celtic Woman in 2013. She was born in the northern Ireland city of Derry. When done with her studies at Trinity College of Music in London, Mairead signed a recording deal with Decca Records. Soon after, she launched her debut solo album, titled “Songbook.” Carlin has toured across both the UK and Ireland with Don McLean. In addition, she sang with the National Symphony Orchestra for RTE TV. As the current members of the Celtic Woman 12-year-legacy, she was asked what do you think makes this incarnation different? She replied, “We all come from such different backgrounds: Eabha comes from a traditional Irish way of singing called Sean Nós. Susan trained in musical theater, Tara is a classically trained violinist and I come from a classical/folk background. It’s not often that fusion works but for some reason it just does with us. It’s amazing.”

Eabha McMahon made her debut with Celtic Woman debut in late 2015. She also took part in the Celtic Woman Public Television special, DVD and album, titled “Destiny.” At the young age of 15, Éabha became the youngest member to join Anúna. They were the original Riverdance choir. Eabha finished her first solo album last year. She is a fluent Irish speaker and was brought up both singing and speaking Irish at her Dublin home. To be part of Celtic Woman is a wonderful experience and she’s proud to be representing her Irish roots. When asked if the group has any rituals before hitting the stage? “Yes. We have a group ritual whereby we all stand side stage and link our baby fingers together while standing in a circle. It symbolizes unity and sisterhood. No matter what happens on that stage we have each other covered. Nobody stands alone on that stage. It’s a symbol of support and empowerment. It really sets us up for the show.”

The newest member of Celtic Woman is Tara McNeill, who replaced former violinist Máiréad Nesbitt. This talented violinist joined in August of 2016. She becomes the first multi-instrumentalist. She also plays the harp and sings with the group. Tara also graduated with honors from the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Tara has toured around the world, both as a singer and violinist. You may remember her from the 2015 Public Television special, “Destiny.” Tara accompanied the singers by playing the harp. When asked about the special chemistry of the group and exactly why it works, she answers, “I think the four of us are very keen to make Celtic Woman the best that it can possibly be. Because we each have our own strengths, there are endless possibilities as to what this group can achieve. We are also very lucky to have a special bond that means we are there for each other, always supporting and encouraging each other to be the best that we can be!”

The actual show was visually stunning. A large background screen displayed scenic pictures and clips of Ireland, showcasing its natural beauty. Anybody who has traveled to Ireland will definitely recognize many of the locations. From the ragged coastline to rolling countryside, Ireland is a land of enchantment.

The four women looked simply radiant. Their gorgeous gowns are each created by Synan O’Mahony, who is a well known Irish designer. Whether singing solo or as a group, each song is a captivating experience for the audience. The women’s voices are individually incredible. When singing together, it’s pure magic. The way they harmonize and take turns singing the main chorus is exceptional. The entire audience experience from the music and choreography to the lighting and visuals is outstanding.

The music wouldn’t be complete without an accompaniment of musical instruments. The band is top notch. With two percussionists, keyboard, harp, acoustic guitar, fiddle and even a bagpipe, the authentic Irish music comes alive. The show lasted over two hours and includes a 20 minute intermission. The show’s tempo flowed effortlessly from classic ballads to Irish dance.

Hearing the rich sounds of the iconic song “Danny Boy” was truly memorable. The beautiful hymn “Amazing Grace” was the night’s most emotional song, for sure. The group of male dancers were excellent as well. In addition, their Irish dance moves were always in sync with the music and drew numerous rounds of applause. As the women sang the final song, the crowd rose in unison for a rousing standing ovation to end a unforgettable evening of fine music and dancing.

This all-female Irish musical ensemble is incredibly talented and delivers a blockbuster show. Everyone should attend a Celtic Woman performance at least once. For many, especially with Irish heritage, it’s a “Bucket List” item. entertainment industry stars. His work has been published in leading outlets, such as New York Magazine, LA Confidential, Interview and Gotham. The first book published by Thom Gilbert was “Soul: Memphis’ Original Sound” in 2014.

The world’s biggest wine festival is held each year in Bad Dürkheim, Germany. Held during the second and third weekend of September, Wurstmarkt hits an important milestone year. 2016 will mark the 600 year occurrence of this popular wine festival. The very first German wine festival was held way back in the year 1417.

Wine making is big business in Germany. The European country has thirteen different wine growing regions. The regions produce incredible wines ranging from crisp Riesling wines to a floral Pinot Noir.

What is interesting is that the wine festival’s name – Wurstmarkt – translates to sausage market. Most people don’t associate wine and sausage together. The town of Bad Dürkheim is located in the premier wine-growing state, Rhineland Palatinate. The legend of how Wurstmarkt got its name is due to the large amounts of sausage that was eaten during the early years of the wine festival. Now it’s the World’s Biggest Wine Festival and people attend from all around the world.

It is expected that greater than 600,000 people will attend this year’s wine festival in Germany. Be sure to check out the Giant Cask, named Dürkheimer Riesenfass. It’s known as the biggest wine barrel in the world. Surprisingly, it even includes a restaurant inside.

Wine connoisseurs can try about 300 award-winning wines and sparkling wines. In addition to the many food and drink stands, plan on enjoying the various fairground carnival rides. There will also be music concerts and spectacular fireworks displays. This is an amazing cultural experience that should not be missed, especially for wine lovers.

This year’s Wurstmarkt wine festival will be held on the consecutive weekends of September 9 to 13 and 16 to 19.

Each year, voodoo followers celebrate of the important “feast day”, named St. John’s Eve on June 23. Also called Bonfire Night, this midsummer festival occurs on the the shortest night of the whole year.

St. John’s Eve is also significant because it’s the evening before the feast of St. John the Baptist. Voodoo has a long history in the city of New Orleans. The practice still thrives to this day. Voodoo can be categorized as a group of native religions from West Africa. You can get a taste of the cultural influence of voodoo at the iconic International House hotel in New Orleans.

This luxury boutique hotel is located in downtown New Orleans. St. John’s Eve has been celebrated there for 17 years and next month you can experience a true “voodoo” ritual. Between 6 and 8pm on June 23, a voodoo ceremony including a ritual head-washing will take place. This year’s ceremony will be led by Sallie Ann Glassman. She is the ordained vodoo priestess who owns the nearby Island of Salvation Botanica, located on Piety Street. It’s a supernatural celebration honoring the birthday of St. John the Baptist.

The International House building is a New Orleans landmark. It started out as a bank, then became the world’s first World Trade Center. The building was designed with neoclassical architecture. It became the International House hotel in 1998. The hotel was the inspiration of local owner Sean Cummings, Los Angeles interior designer LM Pagano and New Orleans architect Brooks Graham. As you enter the hotel you’ll see a 10-foot-tall papier-mache statue of Marie Laveau. She was the legendary founder, queen and practitioner of voodoo. Opened in the summer 2013, the impressive MuCEM museum is holding an awesome, art exhibition about Pablo Picasso. It will display 270 of Picasso’s works. The MuCEM stands for the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations. This national museum in Marseille, France first opened in the summer of 2013.

Between April 27 and August 29, 2016 the MuCEM museum exhibition is broken into four different sections. Each of these will mirror the masterpieces of Picasso. The famous artist’s works will be accompanied by various reference-objects from the museum.

This exhibition was a massive undertaking and included contributions and partnerships with many organization and partnership, such as with the Musée National Picasso-Paris. In addition to viewing some of his most famous pieces, there will be other surprises and insights into his life.

Pablo Picasso was born on October 25, 1881 in Spain. He passed away in Mougins, France on April 8, 1973. He was 91 years old. The Spanish artist had many talents. He was a painter, sculpture and ceramist. In addition, many people aren’t aware he was also a playwright and poet. His legendary works will be admired for years to come.

When Albert Camus won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957, we stated in his acceptance speech, “Art obliges the artist not to keep himself apart; it subjects him to the most humble and the most universal truth. That is why true artists scorn nothing.” What a moving and profound quote.

Picasso was influenced by numerous artists over this career. This MuCEM exhibition takes attendees on a magical journey through his art. You’ll discover his interests that turned into his work, such as “Jacqueline with Mantilla” with music, “Blue Acrobat” with the circus and “Bull’s Head” and bullfighting. He was inspired by Marie Cuttoli for textiles, Suzanne and Georges Ramié for ceramics and Paco Durrio for woodworking.

As a true, iconic artist of the 20th century, Pablo Picasso changed culture. His modern works during that era, drew millions of people into the world of fine art.

Robert Hughes was the art critic for TIME magazine. He was quoted, “To say that Pablo Picasso dominated Western art in the 20th century is, by now, the merest commonplace. Before his 50th birthday, the little Spaniard from Malaga had become the very prototype of the modern artist as public figure. No painter before him had had a mass audience in his own lifetime.”
