Fuel economy is expected to be rated at 23 mpg Highway, 17 mpg City and a real-world 19 mpg Combined – while still offering the power to carry a full load or passengers and cargo.

When the current generation of the Infinity M line came to the marketplace in 2006, auto industry experts including Consumer Reports and Car and Driver magazines gave the luxury car much praise.

The new 2011 Infinity M37 and M56 will feature additional power, a more curvier styling, newer technology, and improved gas mileage.

The Infinity M37 and M56 is also expected to offer a spacious interior along with a smooth ride and handling capability that won the current M models such critical acclaim.

The current Infinity M class includes the M35 and M45. But based on the larger engines planned for 2011, Infinity has changed the models to the M37 and M56.

Quality Luxury Sedan – 2009 Infiniti M35x

2009 Infiniti M35x

When the economy is suffering, sometimes it’s best to take the time and appreciate a true luxury car, like the 2009 Infiniti M35x. This year’s model is slightly different from a last year.

The 2009 Infiniti M35x, which is the all-wheel-drive trim of the rear-wheel sedan, offers excellent handling and luxurious comfort, with AWD grip.

The M series is a high-end sedan that offers an athletic theme due to its low, wide stance, and large wheels with low-profile tires pushed to the corners. These features virtually eliminate unsightly body overhang.

Infiniti M series comes available in two different engine sizes: a 325-horsepower 4.5-liter V-8 (M45) or a 303-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 (M35).

Both Infinity engines are well refined with ample power. In 2009, the M35’s V-6 engine has been reworked, resulting in 28 more ponies.

Riding in an Infinity M35x is a wonderful driving experience. At basic street speeds, the M35x felt compliant, but not too soft. At higher freeway speeds, as well us during aggressive maneuvers, the ride nicely stiffened up to prevent excessive body sway.

The Infinity M is loaded with standard amenities and safety features. It’s also equipped with an awesome-sounding audio system.

Even though there is plenty of head and legroom up front, the M’s sloping roof can cut off headroom in the backseat.

For gas conscious drivers, the M35x isn’t ideal. Its fuel economy comes in at (16/22).

Still, the Infinity M stacks up very nicely against its formidable competition. It’s extremely refined and a very enjoyable drive.

Created as a fusion of luxury, performance and the utility of an SUV, it offers head-turning styling and an advanced sports platform, along with a choice of a new 390-horsepower 5.0-liter 32-valve DOHC V8 engine with VVEL (for Variable Valve Event & Lift) or 303-horsepower 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC V6.

Each engine is paired with standard 7-speed automatic transmission featuring Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) and available solid magnesium paddle shifters.

“The Infiniti FX combines sporty performance with the utility of an SUV — an unbeatable combination that we’ve taken to even higher levels with the new second-generation FX design,” said Mark Igo, vice president and general manager, Infiniti. “For 2009, FX continues the technology leadership that was a hallmark of the original, including a new, advanced 5.0-liter V8 design, 7-speed automatic transmission and an incredible array of innovative safety features designed to reduce the stress of everyday driving.”
