Heesen Announces the Incredible Masa Luxury Yacht

Luxury yacht brand Heesen recently announced that their Project Aster model was launched from their Danish shipyard in Oss. The launch occurred on Friday April 5th. Also known as YN 18750, the new luxury yacht was named Masa by its new owner, during a private ceremony.

Owning a luxury yacht has long been a dream for many people. Enjoying a VIP experience on the open seas is amazing. Owners feel the independence from life’s high stress and leave all their worries behind.

This new luxury yacht in the 5000 Aluminium Class sports a unique name. “Masa” translates to my diamond – a diamond in its purest form. One that symbolizes the highest form of royalty. As a result, the name perfectly fits this elegant yacht, the eighth in 5000 Aluminium Class.

This yacht class continues to prove to be one of the most successful in Heesen’s extensive yacht range. She represents the pinnacle of Heesen’s expertise in building sporty, lithe and graceful semi-displacement motor yachts.

The interior design by Cristiano Gatto celebrates the lineage of her forebears. The décor is fresh and elegant. Plus it beautifully combines a light palette of colours with silver to create an atmosphere throughout the yacht that exudes tranquillity.

Plus, the versatile layout comprises five lower deck suites and a master stateroom on the main deck forward, giving capacity for twelve guests serviced by nine crew.

Masa’s exterior lines are designed by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The sleek design embodies Heesen’s DNA: the pelican-beak bow with reverse sheer and the sporty mast give Masa a very distinctive look.

But Masa’s beauty does not lie exclusively in her aesthetics. For example, her 50m all-aluminium semi-displacement hull has been designed, engineered and welded by Heesen’s in-house team. Therefore, it results in the smallest tolerances.

With considered naval architecture and precision, lightweight aluminium construction, Masa will reach a rapid top speed of 23 knots thanks to two MTU 16V 4000 diesel engines. At 50 metres and coming in below 500GT, Masa perfectly combines performance, comfort, space and refined luxury.

After launching, Masa will remain in the shipyard’s harbour basin for the final elements of construction and the commissioning of her systems. Aquamarine: Heesen’s Newest Fast-Cruising, All-Aluminium Motor Yacht

Luxury yacht builder Heesen, has introduced its first yacht in its newly designed, 5000 Aluminium Class. This stunning luxury motor yacht is named – Aquamarine.

Aquamarine features a brand new hull with a design from its talented, in-house naval architects. It becomes the newest fast-cruising, all-aluminium motor yacht by Heesen. In addition, the company worked very closely with Van Oossanen Naval Architects, who are renowned hydrodynamicists.

An efficiency gain of 12% is obtained by the optimization of the hull design. By raising the transom and making it sleeker, the 12% percent end result became achievable. Plus the propeller tunnels are incorporated into the sleek hull.

Thanks to the optimized hull design, it became possible to install MTU’s new 16V4000M65L green oceanic engines. They are specially designed to operate with an SCR unit (Selective Catalytic Reduction). The result is a reduction in NOx emissions. Therefore, Heesen’s Aquamarine is the first fast-cruising yacht below 500GT to be IMO Tier III compliant. It is a proud accomplishment by Neesen.

The yacht’s draft is reduced to only 2.15 meters by featuring raised propellers. As a result, the shallow draft makes Aquamarine the perfect yacht for cruising in the Bahamas. Also the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean is also achievable. A pair of interceptors will guarantee optimal dynamic trim at high speeds.

Heesen’s new 5000 Aluminium Class reduces the carbon footprint without compromising on speed or performance. Thus the installation of soot filters on the generators, also makes the package complete.

The Omega Architects design creates a clean and modern profile. As a result, Aquamarine becomes a progressive, technological masterpiece. As an example, the raised aft deck allows for a full height multi-purpose tender garage that doubles as a luxury beach club. Plus you get a deck complete with sun pads.

Since the aft deck connects to the flush swim platform, guest are much closer to the water. It delivers a rewarding water experience. In addition, the rescue tender is conveniently stored under a hatch in front of the wheelhouse. This delivers a clean profile line.

With a total of 5 cabins, Aquamarine can accommodate up to 12 guests. This makes it perfect for both intimate and large group parties.

Here’s a summary of the key attributes of Aquamarine by Heesen.
– Length: 50.0m / 164.0′
– Beam: 9m / 29.5′
– Materials: Alu / Alu
– Hull Type: Semi-displacement
– Max Speed: 23 knots
– Range at 11 knots: 3,100 nautical miles

YN 18950 Aquamarine is currently under construction. The luxury yacht is being built at Heesen’s Dutch facility in Oss.
