Heesen Yachts Announces the Sale of 2 Luxury Yachts

Heesen Yachts is thrilled to share news that they sold two luxury yachts in the past few weeks. The 55-meter POLLUX was sold at the beginning of October and last Friday was the sale of the 50-meter TRITON. As a result, the sale of TRITON is the third yacht sold by Heesen in 2020.

It is exciting to see at Heesen we can sign contracts, despite the challenges created by COVID-19 travel restrictions. Hence, luxury brands have had to fight hard to continue their operations. The Heesen Yachts team continues to create innovative marketing and communication tools. Their goal is to bridge the gap generated by the pandemic with very positive results.

Despite the difficulties presented in 2020, Heesen Yachts is moving full steam ahead with 12 luxury yachts under construction. Thus, deliveries are scheduled through to 2023.

Project Triton is the second in the 50-metre steel class. She is a true blue-water motor yacht. This stunning, luxury yacht features a displacement steel hull. It is designed by Heesen’s in-house team of naval architects and engineers.

Two MTU 8V4000 M63 diesel engines provide a top speed of 15 knots. As a result, she boasts a range of 3,800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Her distinctive, flowing exterior lines are inspired by classic automotive design by British designer Clifford Denn. While fellow British studio Reymond Langton is responsible for the yacht’s elegant interior design.

Heesen Yachts- Project Pollux luxury yacht

Project Pollux’s imaginative interior design, perfectly crafted by Heesen’s in-house team of cabinet makers. For example, the yacht is wrapped in a muscular exterior design by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects. The bold lines of the 55-metre class embody the evolution of the shipyard’s DNA. Interestingly, Heesen’s traditional sportiness is now combined with masculine lines. These are typical of long-range blue water motor yachts recognizable from afar.

The beauty of the 55-metre steel class continues underwater. Her steel hull is an iteration of the uber-efficient FDHF devised by Dutch hydrodynamicists Van Oossanen. Plus, it’s engineered by Heesen’s in-house team of naval architects. Two MTU 8V 4000 M63 (IMO Tier III) will propel Pollux to a maximum speed of 15.5 knots. The result is a cruising speed of 13 knots. Also, she will have a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.
