RJ ARRAW Marine Collection – Sport Chronographs for All Seasons

The highly respected RJ watch brand was founded in 2004, then re-launched in 2018 under the creative direction of CEO Marco Tedeschi. RJ brings a distinctive design to every wrist with the stunning ARRAW Marine chronograph collection. It’s an impressive luxury watch collection!

The ARRAW Marine chronograph is a 10-piece limited edition series. It’s the perfect chronograph for all seasons, offering both men and women sophisticated form and function to complement an active lifestyle. RJ proudly manufactures its own in-house movements at the brand’s headquarters, RJ Studio, based out of Geneva, Switzerland.

RJ has balanced striking form with impressive functionality in the ARRAW Marine. These incredible timepieces demonstrate the independent watchmaker’s excellence in the art and craft of horology. They are executed in a stand-out style inspired by the marine world.

The ARRAW Marine’s iconic design is instantly recognizable thanks to its four RJ Bumpers. These rubber bumpers punctuate the models’ 42 mm or 45 mm satin-brushed cases. These are available in collectors’ choice of 18 karat red gold, titanium, two-tone red gold and titanium, or black ceramic. The rubber motif carries through to the coordinated white or black rubber accents on the screw-down crown and push buttons.

The RJ Bumpers also draw the eye inward to admire the ARRAW Marine’s sun-brushed, galvanized, and gradient-painted dial. Transparent lacquer emphasizes each dial’s dimensional effect, encased within a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal.

Bold detailing brings each element of the dial into sharp focus. From the hands to the chronograph subdials, which include a small seconds counter at 3 o’clock and a 30 minutes counter at 9 o’clock. Plus find a 12 hours counter and date window at 6 o’clock.

Indexes, numerals, counters, and hands are uniformly plated in red gold or rhodium-plated. The finish is with a satin-brushed texture and enhanced with white SuperLuminova. The resulting visual impression is both cohesive and highly legible.

The bezels of select ARRAW Marine timepieces have been set with round brilliant or baguette cut diamonds. While the surfaces of a few special models have been fully paved with diamonds, from the bezel to the case. The sparkling diamond set ARRAW Marine models feature anywhere from 1.5 total carats in diamond weight to over 5 carats total.

The self-winding chronograph offers up to 42 hours of power reserve. A screw-down crown protects the movement from the elements, reinforcing the water-resistance of the ARRAW Marine up to 330 feet. RJ has also equipped the ARRAW Marine with a clever interchangeable ARRAW rubber strap. Users can easily swap out other RJ strap colors and styles as they please, with no tools required.

RJ has made its own mark on modern watchmaking with its Collaboration watch series. Their watch designs draw inspiration from icons of pop culture, from superheroes of DC Comics or Marvel like Batman and Spider-Man. Even beloved video game characters like Super Mario Bros., Space Invaders™, or Pac-Man™.

RJ also designs and produces recognizable, ambitious, and culturally relevant luxury Swiss watches. RJ ARRAW, the brand’s core collection for men and women, is distinguishable by its RJ Bumpers™ and ingenious interchangeable strap system.

In addition, RJ has brought history-making material to the wrist with its DNA Concept watches. They use steel from the Titanic, genuine moon dust, or remnants from the Apollo 11 spacecraft. Of course, it first landed man on the moon in 1969.

Type XXII 3880 Rose Gold Chronograph Luxury Watch from Breguet

Breguet Type XXII 3880 luxury watch
Breguet

Baselworld 2013 – The World Watch and Jewellery Show is near and scheduled from April 25 to May 2, 2013.

Luxury watchmaker Breguet has just announced the release of their new version of the iconic pilot’s watch, the stunning Type XXII – in 18ct rose gold. Type XXII 3880 is the first series-made mechanical chronograph whose frequency has been raised to 10 Hz.

This luxury watch houses a Breguet chronograph movement with silicon escapement and flat balance spring. The frequency of the Type XXII has been increased to 10 Hertz – or 72,000 vibrations per hour.

By using silicon, Breguet’s Type XXII 3880 timepiece offer more lightweight components and avoids the lubrication issues that are produced by higher frequency watches.

At 3 o’clock is a 24-hour night-and-day indicator, indicating either daytime or nighttime in the area covered by the second time-zone.

Featuring a classic 18K rose gold casing along with a bi-rotational bezel, this new, self-winding Type XXII chronograph houses a flyback function with a totaliser that returns to zero. It then instantly re-starts all in the same operation. Therefore the start function and readout are twice as precise.

The watch’s dial features a second time-zone indicator with an aperture for a date calendar. Breguet’s Type XXII watch is individually signed and numbered and also comes fitted with an integrated, brow in color leather strap.

The watch diameter is 44 mm and has a screw-locked crown. The luxury timepiece is also water-resistant to 10 bar (100 m).

Stefan Johansson Växjö

Professional racecar driver Stefan Johansson has brought his years of car racing in to his latest luxury watch collections – the Mark IX and Mark X.

Owner of Stefan Johansson Växjö, he stated, “I am very excited to finally be able to show my two new designs after almost 3 years of development and fine-tuning. My goal from the very beginning was to create something that is instantly recognizable.”

Stefan Johansson merges his artistic sensibility with his experience as one of auto racing’s most decorated, enduring drivers into the designs of his Mark IX and Mark X timepieces. Both luxury watch collections are dramatic departures from his previous chronograph watch designs.

Each new style is divided into three distinct series: C, E and G. Each design is inspired by a particular era or aspect of Johansson’s successful car racing career.

Montbrillant 01 Limited Watch by Swiss Watchmaker Breitling

Breitling Montbrillant 01 limited stainless steel luxury watch

Breitling Montbrillant 01 limited edition luxury Swiss watchmaker Breitling is writing a brand new chapter in the history of the Montbrillant chronograph.

For the first time the watch is being equipped with Caliber 01, which is a high-performance movement that was entirely developed and produced in the company workshops. Breitling Montbrillant 01 is a limited series watch that’s completely dedicated to style and accomplishment.

Endowed with a look inspired by the 1940s and 50s and featuring a circular slide rule for pilots, the Montbrillant chronograph by Breitling was named after the building on Montbrillant Street, in the heights of La Chaux-de-Fonds, which housed the Breitling workshops from 1892 to 1979.

It was in these premises that the brand developed the inventions and improvements that were to change the face of the wrist chronograph, including the first independent pushpiece (1915), the second independent pushpiece (1934) and the first selfwinding chronograph (1969). This was also where Breitling produced its first onboard chronographs that contributed to its status as “official supplier to world aviation” during the boom of air transport on propeller-powered and subsequently jet aircraft.

Today, the Montbrillant is associating its name with another milestone in the history of the brand with the winged B by hosting Breitling’s Caliber 01, the most reliable and efficient of all selfwinding chronograph movements, produced using a revolutionary assembly process. The Montbrillant 01 Limited is issued in twin editions of 2,000 in steel and 200 in red gold, with the individual number engraved at 9 o’clock on the case middle.

The Mercury Silver dial of the Montbrillant 01 Limited watch features elegant hands, the traditional central hundredth of a second counter, and an 18K gold version of the stylized B that served as the brand symbol until the mid-20th century.

A transparent sapphire crystal caseback provides generous views of Breitling’s Caliber 01, chronometer-certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute), with its column wheel and its original structure.

The luxury Montbrillant 01 Limitedatch by Breitling is definitely a collector’s piece for all those with a love of history in movement.
