Luxury 2015 Audi A3 TDI Sedan

The Audi A3 model is considered as the entry-level model car for Audi. The luxury 2015 Audi A3 sedan is a five-door hatchback that comes in either a 1.8T or 2.0T turbo gas engine. But the 2015 Audi A3 TDI model allows you to live a little on the edge and press the boundaries of fuel economy.

The 2015 Audi A3 TDI comes with a 150-horsepower 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine. The A3 TDI engine produces about 236 lb-ft of torque. The luxury sedan is only available with front-wheel drive and is driven through the dual-clutch gearbox.

Audi car lovers are already aware that the A3 sedan was redesigned this year. The styling of the car’s exterior is similar to that of the A4.

The base model Audi A3 TDI has a price of $32,600, but with extra options can easily jump to the mid $40k range or higher. For a small luxury sedan, that price point may be a bit too high for some looking to stay within a lower end budget.

The 2015 Audi A3 TDI “Prestige” model offers numerous options. You will get heated front seats, larger 18″ premium wheels and an impressive Bang & Olufsen sound system to enjoy your favorite music. Also use your car’s navigation with voice control. The exterior of the A3 TDI also gets an upgrade that makes it look more like the sportier Audi S3.

If you love great fuel economy, you’ll love this Audi A3 TDI. It’s advertised at 36 mph. OF course diesel fuee is more expensive than regular fuel, but those are some impressive results.

We like the sleek exterior styling and it looks awesome cruising down the highway. The car’s engine is relatively quite so it doesn’t draw your attention and you can just drive and enjoy the feel of a well built car. Past diesel engines were much louder.

The car’s engine produces about 150 hp so plenty of power to accelerate and enter the highway without feeling like you’re in mud and slowing everyone behind you down. The car handles quite well and is tight as you hug the curb making right turns.

One downside is the lack of a roomy trunk for storage. But in a smaller sedan like the 2015 Audi A3 TDI – you can’t have it all. It’s appealing to those you want to move up into the smaller sedan luxury market, and is a great balance fuel economy and a sporty looking sedan.

Audi Q7 – Best Luxury SUV

2009 Audi Q7

Economic uncertainty has many consumers seeking out overall value in new vehicles.

The Audi Q7 tops recent luxury SUV winners from Mercedes and BMW, as Audi finishes 1-2 in the luxury multi-function segment with the A3 and A4/S4 Avant.

The Audi Q7 earned recognition as the best luxury SUV and the Audi A3 claimed the top ranking among luxury multi-function vehicles in the just-released 2008 Total Value Index(R) produced by the consumer research firm Strategic Vision.

The annual Total Value Index brings together what consumers say about their vehicles (in terms of expected reliability, expected fuel economy, price paid and expected resale value) with various ownership measures calculated by Strategic Vision.

In determining the 2008 Index scores, the San Diego-based research firm found clear evidence that consumers are looking for the best pricing along with quality cues that would indicate a vehicle’s long-term value.

“These results reinforce the market’s shift toward experiences Audi offers in terms of performance and technology, luxurious features and efficiency,” said Audi of America Inc. Executive Vice President Johan de Nysschen. “We believe the long-term value of owning Audi models will be a difference maker as these economic times lead consumers to rethink their luxury-vehicle options.”

Strategic Vision noted that consumers are giving greater scrutiny to their vehicles, which it said opens up opportunities. “When economic conditions become more favorable, the manufacturers who have focused their efforts in enhancing product quality and communicating messages of trustworthy products and overall value will be in a position to regain, and even take over new, market share,” said Alexander Edwards, president of Strategic Vision’s automotive division.

Top Fuel Efficient Luxury Cars

It’s no surprise that the most fuel-efficient luxury cars sold in the United States aren’t homegrown. They are imported.

Europe and Japan lead the fuel-economy crusade for the luxury sector. A major reason is because economic conditions in those regions, have given local automakers major incentives to develop cars that conserve fuel while still providing amenities that luxury shoppers crave.

“European automakers have had to be conscious of fuel economy for decades,” says Mike Omotoso, senior manager of global powertrain forecasting for J.D. Power and Associates in Westlake Village, Calif. “In Europe, high-tech includes good performance coupled with good fuel economy.”  Full article
