This year marks the 13th edition of the Top 99 Most Desirable Women reader poll by AskMen. Readers were asked to vote for women who most closely match their ideals and to consider additional criteria including talent, character and potential for 2014. The goal was to not just make it a vote solely on sex appeal.

Alison Brie is from the “Community” TV series and music video model Emily Ratajkowski starred in last year’s hit song “Blurred Lines.” The beautiful Emma Watson from the blockbuster “Harry Potter” movie series was voted No.5.

James Bassil is the publisher of AskMen and was quoted, “The final Top 99 list is the product of both reader and staff votes, but if it were up to the staff alone I don’t think we’d be seeing Miley Cyrus on it. AskMen reader votes secured her a spot, but we remain skeptical about some of her recent behavior. We’ll see what 2014 brings. But at the moment, No. 99 seems to be the right spot for her.”

Women from TV shows were very popular again this year. In addition to Emilia Clarke, the popular HBO show “Game of Thrones” also landed two other actresses on the Top 99 list – Oona Chaplin at No. 43 and Rose Leslie at No. 61. Kat Dennings from “2 Broke Girls” came in at No. 12, Zooey Deschanel of “New Girl” was No. 17 and the sexy Sofia Vergara from the hit ABC show “Modern Family” appeared at No. 40.

There some surprises as several women you rankled high last year, slipped after the 2014 vote. Mila Kunis fell from No. 2 all the way down to No. 26. Rihanna dropped from No. 4 to No. 19 plus beautiful model Miranda Kerr declined to No. 46 after ranking No. 6 last year.

In addition, three women you were in last year’s Top 10, fell completely off the 2014 Top 99 List –
Kristen Stewart, Michelle Jenneke and Jessica Pare. Just proves that popularity can be just a fleeting

moment. Other women who did not make AskMen’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2014 list were – Jennifer Lopez, Megan Fox, Blake Lively, Penelope Cruz, Gisele Bündchen and Jessica Alba.

An exclusive new trailer of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” was just shown today at the San Diego Comic Con. Yahoo! Movies was the first to broadcast the movie trailer on the Internet.

The new Hunger Games movie is scheduled to open in theaters around the world on November 22, 2013. Last year, we reported that Jennifer Lawrence was named the winner of AskMen’s “Top 99 Most Desirable Women” list for 2013. In addition, Lawrence was named “the most talented young actress in America.” by by Rolling Stone.

This morning, the nominations for the 2013 Emmy Awards show was announced. Some surprises and some were expected but the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards will be another highlight of this year’s many award shows.

American Horror Story: Aslyum leads the overall list this year with 17 total nominations. Game of Thrones came in next with 16 nominations. Behind the Candelabra and Saturday Night Live both earned 15 nominations.

It’s significant that broadcast and cable networks can’t claim that they are king of their domain. There’s a new kid on the block and the name is “Netflix.” “House of Cards” was nominated nine times.

Of the the 17 nominations that American Horror Story: Aslyum received, the two most notable ones were for best miniseries and Jessica Lange as best actress.

The highly anticipated sequel to Peter Jackson’s “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” is scheduled to be released in movie theaters on December 13, 2013 from Warner Bros. Pictures.

Today, the first of several movie trailer was released. It’s our first chance to view what the next chapter – “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” – has in store for us.

Smaug is the fire-breathing dragon and the next villain we will love to hate. Here’s a peek at Smaug in the just released, movie trailer below.

You will also notice a couple of very popular actors who will play roles in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” The first is hunky Orlando Bloom who is back after a hugely successful run in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy series. Bloom once again plays the arrow-shooting elf Legolas.

Evangeline Lilly, from the hit ABC show “Lost” will also star. Lilly will play the role of an Elven warrior woman named Tauriel.

Along with some of the best CGI (computer generated imagery) seen anywhere. “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” also showcases the endless beauty of New Zealand, where many scenes were filmed.
