Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron grew up on a small farm outside Benoni, South Africaa and was an only child. She got an education as a ballet dancer and has danced both the “Swan Lake” and the “Nutcracker Suite”.

At the age of 15, Charlize Theron witnessed the death of her father, Charles Theron. He was an abusive alcoholic and her mother, Gerda Theron, shot him in self defense when he attacked her. No charges were pressed. At the age of 18, her mother made her go to Los Angeles to try to begin a career in the movie industry.

Charlize Theron is the first South African to win an Oscar for Best Actress. This captivating former model has carved out a very impressive career, by playing some really ugly and bizarre characters. Theron continued her deglamorized cinema streak, as a sexually harassed miner in the movie North Country, which earned Charlize Golden Globe and Oscar nods in 2006.

On the paparazzi, “They try to beat you down so you give in but I’ll never do that. If I have to call as many restraining orders or dump as many water bottles on cameras, that’s what I’ll do.”

Ana Beatriz Barros

Ana Beatriz Barros was discovered by the Director of Elite Model Management who was vacationing in Brazil. In 1998 she won the Brazilian Elite Look of the year and was placed second at the International Elite Look of the Year. Then she was given an offer by Guess? for which she is well known.

If she were not a model, Ana would have liked to be a veterinarian. She has a tattoo on her middle lower back as well as on her ankle.

“Americans are shy about the body. I have to remember that when I go there. I hope people don’t get tired of looking at me.”

Megan Fox

When Megan Fox was asked about the scrutiny of today’s media and pervasive paparazzi, “Where I am right now with my career, I don’t feel that, but I’m sure girls like Lindsay do. I’m actually kind of glad that I’m not under that kind of scrutiny, because the tabloids can give you the feeling of being so exposed to people whom you don’t even know. So right now where I am, I’m fine. I’m out of all of that. I still have my private life and no one really bothers me or knows who I am!”

On landing her first big film role in Michael Bay’s “Transformers”,”I don’t think my friends and family – especially my family – really knew what “Transformers” is. They didn’t know what it was going to be about or how big it was going to be. They recognised the name Michael Bay and they definitely recognised Steven Spielberg, so there was excitement there. But my mum is incredibly proud of me.”

“Yes, I’d be crazy to turn down a sequel. I’m proud of this movie. This is my first movie. What do I have to complain about? Nothing!”

While living with her parents, Megan Fox was not allowed to date anyone. She only did it after she moved out.

She has five tattoos. Megan’s tattoos include a poem on her ribcage and a symbol for strength on her neck, and her boyfriend Brian’s name tattooed next to her pie.

Halle Berry

Halle first came into the spotlight at 17 years old when she won the Miss Teen All-American Pageant, representing the state of Ohio in 1985 and a year later in 1986 when she was the first runner-up in the Miss USA Pageant.

Halle Berry lost some hearing in one of her ears due to a physical encounter with a boyfriend in the early 1990s.

In March 2007, Halle admitted she had attempted suicide after the end of her relationship with David Justice, a baseball player with the Atlanta Braves.

On April 4th, 2007, Halle Berry was immortalised on Hollywood’s ‘Walk of Fame‘. Her star is the 2333rd to be laid on the ‘Walk of Fame’. She was initially due to receive her star in 2003 but conflicting schedules prevented her from receiving it until 2007.

“I just want to continue to be happy in myself, which I am today, and give of myself in ways that feel meaningful for me. And the next chapter in my life, I think, will be about parenthood. Waking up and doing movies isn’t quite enough anymore. I think the next act for me will be trying to be a good mother.”

“I don’t want a guy getting anywhere near my lips on a first date. Even if you like someone right off the bat, it’s so much sexier to hold off a little. You don’t want to blow your wad on the first shot, right?”

Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera sought comfort in soul music to help her cope with the pain of living in an abusive household while she was growing up. Christina dyed her hair black (May 2003) because she believed that it gave her a more mature look.

Christina explains, “I feel empowered when I express myself sexually. Any woman who’s going to strongly express herself sexually, there’s always a backlash… Throughout the years, men have tried to put a restraint on how women are allowed to behave. If you do this, you’re not sexy enough. And if you don’t do that, you’re too sexy… There are so many double standards. It’s very important to me as a female to play upon sexuality and be very strong while incorporating that in my art and work.”

In her first interview since being released from jail, Paris Hilton told CNN’s Larry King on Wednesday that she has never used drugs, isn’t a big drinker, and although she feels her incarceration was unwarranted, God had a reason for putting her there.

“Don’t serve the time; let the time serve you,” Hilton said. “I have a new outlook on life.”

Grilled about the friends she had to sacrifice, she replied, “I’ve gotten rid of a lot of people.” Asked for names, she said, “I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but they know who they are.”

During her 23 days in jail, Paris Hilton said she meditated, read letters from fans, talked to other inmates through the vents, wrote in her journal and read the Bible, though she couldn’t cite a favorite passage when asked. It was also nice to have a little privacy, she said, and to “be away from all the flashes for a while.”

But there were rough times, too, she said. The food “wasn’t that tasty,” she said. Being strip-searched was the most humiliating experience of her life and one Sunday visit from her parents was especially emotional for her, she said.

“It was my first Father’s Day I couldn’t give my dad a hug, and that was really hard on me,” she said, describing how she was separated from her visitors by glass.”

Asked three times if she has ever used or been addicted to drugs, she replied flatly, “No.” Asked if she was a big drinker, Hilton told King, “I’m not really into it. I think socially people do sometimes when they go out, but it’s not something that I really care about.”

Fergie

Fergie

Stacy Ann Ferguson began her career in 1983 as the voice of Sally Brown in the children’s cartoon series Charlie Brown. Shortly afterwards, at the age of eight, she made her first appearance on the variety television program Kids Incorporated.

Ferguson replaced Black Eyed Peas background singer Kim Hill, who left the group in 2000. Ferguson recorded five songs with the group before she was invited to join them permanently.

Fergie released her first solo single “London Bridge” on July 13, 2006 and it reached #1 in the US music chart.

Growing up in a strict Catholic upbringing, “I’ve had lesbian experiences in the past. I won’t say how many men I’ve had sex with – but I’m a very sexual person.”

“I started doing Ecstasy. Then I got addicted to crystal methamphetamine. My weight dropped to 90lb. I lied to my friends and said I was bulimic. Finally I started going crazy. In that moment I talked to God and He said: ‘I’ve given you all these gifts, so what are you doing?’ I decided to get clean. I told everybody what was wrong.”

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria and long time boyfriend, Tony Parker were married in Paris at the Church of Saint Germain l’Auxerrois, on July 7, 2007. Eva wore a 75,000 dollar Angel Sanchez mermaid gown with a scoop back and a long train.

Eva got into trouble with Desperate Housewives producers, after leaking storylines on a chat show in April 2007.

“I hate sex scenes and kissing scenes. It’s just an uncomfortable situation for everybody: ‘Put your elbow over here, find your light here’. It’s not really natural and just awkward.”

Eva is in negotiations to write a raunchy novel. She has already planned an erotic plot for her first foray into literature and can’t wait for the work to be published.

Heather Graham

Despite her strict Catholic upbringing, Heather Graham has expressed belief in more New Age and Eastern beliefs. Heather’s parents are strictly Catholic and did not want her to take part in any film which dealt with sex.

Heather Graham and her parents are now estranged, perhaps due to her choice of roles.

“Boogie Nights was quite explicit and my parents were horrified. They didn’t really want to hear my point of view, and thought that, because I took the part, then I was like that in real life. It would be nice if I did have a good relationship with my family, and yes, part of me longs to have a mom and dad who love and accept me for who I am. But if they never do, it’s OK.  I’ve learned to take care of myself.”

“Whenever I meet people who seem really sweet and unassuming, I kind of wonder about them.”

Heather Graham jokingly reacting to a question about her character, “I’m a nice Catholic girl, just like Madonna.”

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani is the beautiful lead singer for No Doubt and has had a successful solo career.

We’ve all had that moment when we sense that things are about to change. For Gwen Stefani that epiphany occurred as a high school senior in Orange County.

‘I remember being this 17 year-old girl, in love and really excited about my future with the boy that I thought was going to be my husband and we’d have babies and that, ‘she pauses, ‘was my passion. Then I learned that I could write songs and that is when my life changed. I went from being this really passive girl to ‘Oh my God.

This makes me feel so powerful when I write these words.’ It was such a turning point to find that I had a talent and I had something to contribute, somewhere.”

Gwen Stefani was married at a London church for her September 14th 2002 nuptials to Gavin Rossdale, but arrived an hour late.

“I’m just an Orange County girl from a loving family making music with my friends. It’s not really that big of a deal. Writing songs is super intimate. It’s a bit like getting naked.”

“I’ve never considered myself a great singer. To be honest, it’s kind of nasally and piercing and I have no range.”

Keeley Hazell

British model, Keeley Hazell is most famous as a Page 3 Girl, becoming one of the series most popular models. She won 2005’s Page 3 Idol competition.

Why did you turn down the chance to pose for Playboy? “I didn’t actually agree to do Playboy in the first place, because I didn’t like the whole concept of going nude and having everyone see all of my body.”

What’s the second most favorite thing you’ve ever held in your hand? (Giggles) “Well, I have a few ideas what you want me to say, but I’m going to resist….so, the favorite thing I have ever held in my hand is …. an ice cream!”

As a teenager, Keeley Hazell was a frequent truant and stayed out late on school nights drinking. She confesses to having only taken five GCSE examinations due to being ejected from several of them; however, she did well in mathematics and English despite suffering from dyslexia.

In early January 2007, a sex tape of Keeley Hazell and ex-boyfriend Lloyd Miller was released on the Internet.
