Best Friends Pet Care – Pet Boarding at Disney World

Looking for a luxury, travel resort to pamper your precious pet? Well Best Friends Pet Care is opening a new resort on Aug. 27 in Disney World.

Pet lovers that plan to visit Walt Disney World Resort, can now plan to board the family pet in fun, luxurious new accommodations.

The new facility is huge. The one-of-a-kind resort offers 50,000 square feet of space and half of it outdoors for the animals to run around in the warm, Florida sun.

Your pampered pets can find 17,000 square feet of air-conditioned indoor space, plus 10,000 square feet of covered outdoor runs and play areas. In addition, there is an expansive private dog park exclusively for the use of pet resort clients and their dogs.

There are 270 rooms for dogs, 30 for cats and more space for other animals like birds, potbellied pigs, hamsters and guinea pigs. It seems like the pets have to have a certain degree of cuddliness to stay — sorry turtles, snakes, or lizards!

Standard indoor boarding for dogs runs $37 a night. If your dog is used to bedtime stories and nighttime attention, you can pay extra for special services.

Like human luxury hotels, there are even upgrades! For dogs, it includes vacation villas with outdoor patios and flat-screen TVs for watching movies like Homeward Bound for $59.

There are also luxury suites for $76 with private outdoor play yards and personal pet concierges. The resort includes a water park, play groups, outdoor runs, walking trails and areas for playing ball or Frisbee.

Feline guests can spend their visit in the separate “Kitty City” pavilion — away from the dogs — in two room and four room condos. Can somebody pinch me and my pet please?

“We know that people who bring their pets with them to Disney want to see their pets,” said Deb Bennetts, spokeswoman for Best Friends. “If they were simply going to board their pet, they would board their pet at home. They want to see and interact with their pet while at the resort, so we’ve made it easy for them to do that with all of this wonderful outdoor space.”
