Blond, beautiful and brilliant — those three words sum up Torrie Wilson.
“People will recognize me from the magazine covers and I’m kind of embarrassed because I don’t look that good. I don’t spend all that time in a makeup chair every day. Maybe it’s just me feeling better about things but I think posing for a photo is a little different than even video or being in person, so to me a photo isn’t quite as bad.”
But it wasn’t always this way as Wilson claims growing up, she was actually quite shy. “When there is a camera around now, obviously I’ve grown out of that stage. You can’t be shy and wrestle in a Bra and Panties match…it’s almost like you’re somebody else.”
“Beyond looks I think it takes someone who is extremely confident in themselves. It takes a lot of confidence to go out in front of a crowd of 10,000 plus on a weekly basis. I think you definitely have to have some type of athletic ability.”
Do the Divas or wrestlers have the craziest fans, “I think it depends on who you are. Right now so many women are obsessed with John Cena that they would definitely trample right over me if he was even standing within 50 feet of me. I don’t think the women’s fans are any more obsessive than the guy’s fans. I’ve seen some pretty obsessive girls going after the guys and some pretty crazy guys going after the girls.”
