The Naked Fisherman Beach Bar and Grill – Saint Lucia
Tropical Saint Lucia is home to the acclaimed five-star beachfront resort Cap Maison, on the northwest shore of the island.
The Naked Fisherman Beach Bar and Grill just opened on sandy Smuggler’s Cove, the luxury resort’s secluded beach.
The Naked Fisherman was the creation of Cap Maison’s Executive Chef Craig Jones. He is a Welsh-born veteran of Europe’s Michelin-starred kitchens and is currently running the Cap Maison resort’s Cliff at Cap restaurant since its opening back in 2008.
The Naked Fisherman Beach Bar and Grill is a modern take on the classic Caribbean beach shack, where sand in the toes and a rum punch in hand make the ideal partnership.
The Naked Fisherman has become of the few, true beach eateries in all of scenic Saint Lucia. The new restaurant serves a casual dining alternative for guests of the Cap Maison resort and is also open to the public.
Featuring a menu with meal items at a lower price point than the white tablecloth Cliff at Cap, The Naked Fisherman offers a grill-centric menu for both lunch and dinner, with an emphasis on barbecue and fresh seafood.
Although the luxury, Saint Lucia resort is noted for its gorgeous Spanish Mediterranean style architecture, the stylish look of the 36-seat Naked Fisherman is thatched-roof-Caribbean, the better to harmonize with its lush beach setting.
The restaurant features grilled island catch with pumpkin and coconut curry or grilled spiny lobster tail with ital rice. Meat lovers can also feast on sticky pulled baby back ribs or a grilled Wagyu burger.
Tropical drinks galore, The Naked Fisherman Beach Bar and Grill serves up delicious tasting drinks that include a wide selection of rums, wines, cocktails, cold beers and the signature – and potent — rum punch.
The Naked Fisherman Beach Bar & Grill is now open between 12:30pm and 3pm for lunch and from 6:30pm to 10pm for dinner.
Chef Jones begins a weekly series of Chef’s Table Dinners at Saman House, which is the owner’s house adjacent to Cap Maison. The Chef’s Table Dinners, limited to just 24 diners, will present an intimate five-course meal on Saman House’s broad verandah as the sun sets over the Caribbean.
