If you’re looking for something fun to do on New Year’s Eve, you should definitely consider the big New Year’s Eve Party being thrown on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at the AAA Four-Diamond mountaintop Chateau on the Lake Resort & Spa in Branson, Missouri.

The Chateau on the Lake Resort & Spa is well known for always putting on a very festive New Year’s Eve party, the resort has themed this year’s bash as a “50’s Sock Hop,” according to the resort’s Vice President and General Manager Stephen Marshall.

Entertainment will be provided by Sh-Boom, the Midwest’s premier show band, which will perform rock ‘n’ roll music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, and which will do fun parodies of Sonny and Cher, Ike and Tina, The Blues Brothers, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Tom Jones, and more.

The resort’s “New Year’s Eve Party Package” includes: accommodations for the night, with a nice late 6 p.m. check-out time; admission for two people to the party; complimentary hors d’oeuvres at the party’s reception; two drink tickets for use at the cash bar throughout the evening; a sumptuous three-course meal featuring Surf ‘n’ Turf; a dessert reception; champagne toast; and party favors. The party will begin at 7:30 p.m., and Sh-Boom will take the stage at 9 p.m. A balloon drop will be conducted at midnight, which will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display outside.

The “New Year’s Eve Party Package” is $399 per couple for a double room; $419 per couple for an elegant king room; $454 per couple for an oversized Chateau King room with a sitting area and full lake view; or $509 per couple for an Ambassador Suite with a private bedroom, living room and wet bar area. Tax and gratuity is included in the price. Additional nights are available for 25% off of the resort’s regular room rates. You must be 21 or older to attend the dinner/dance party.
