The luxurious Park Central Hotel New York is located at 870 7th Avenue across from Carnegie Hall in New York City and has been an iconic hotel for many years.

First opened in the pre-Depression building frenzy of 1927 and named Park Central, this hotel is found by nearby Central Park Midtown West.

The New York City property originally was a 1,600 room hotel, then downsized to 1,450 rooms in the 1980s. At the time, is was the city’s fifth largest hotel and operating as The Omni Park Central.

The recent renovation will revive the hotel’s original grandeur with a new contemporary attitude. Park Central Hotel New York is a full service lifestyle hotel catering to a wide range of travelers.

From the neutral palettes, tranquil ambiance and authentic furnishings found in the hotel’s public spaces, guest will also find handsomely outfitted guest rooms replete with tufted fabric headboards and dark-stained millwork details.

The hotel has had several redesigns over the years but this recent one is the most significant to date. In addition, the hotel will feature a signature restaurant and bar concept, a “grab-and-go” fine foods market, plus a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Since it originally opened back in 1927, the Park Central has played host to many iconic celebrities and figures including Frank Sinatra, Jackie Gleason, Mae West and Eleanor Roosevelt, who kept a suite at the hotel.
