The Meritage Resort & Spa - Napa

Napa Valley in California is one of the most scenic and enjoyable places to visit anywhere in the world. The Meritage Resort and Spa is almost an idyllic locale by itself. This Four-Diamond luxury property is the perfect place to stay while visiting Napa, Sonoma and the surrounding area.

The Meritage Resort and Spa is a 4-Diamond property in Napa and features 322 luxury guestrooms, that include 12 luxury suites. The guestrooms are Tuscan inspired and are quite spacious. In addition, at the adjacent Vino Bello Resort there are 180 vacation rental rooms available.

In the Spring of 2012, The Meritage Resort and Spa completed a $40 million expansion project. The primary additions included a new three-story hotel building that increased the luxury resort accommodations by 165 guestrooms, plus a single- story conference center that is 131,300 square feet in size. Other adds were several water fountains, fireplaces, a jacuzzi and event piazza. There was also a fitness studio, coffee/retail shop, in addition to Crush Ultra Lounge. This new social gathering, hot spot is a sports themed ultra lounge that features a pool table, large screen TVs to watch the latest sporting events, plus a six lane bowling alley. It has a full bar and serves great tasting dishes for informal dining.

For a little pampering and relaxation, the resort features Estate Cave. This incredible complex is about 22,000 square feet in size and offers one of the top spas in the U.S. – Spa Terra. Estate Cave also includes the Trinitas Cellars Tasting Room.

Estate Cave

Spa Terra is the only full-service spa that is underground in all of Napa. Feel like a king or queen with opulent steam grottoes and soaking pools, tranquil walls of water and treatment alcoves. It’s a great place to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. Get pampered with a relaxing massage and leave all your worries behind.

At Trinitas Cellars inside Estate Cave, enjoy wine tasting and try some of the most delicious wines in Napa Valley. For large social events, it can seat up to 200 guests for special dinners. The Trinitas Cellars Tasting Room is open between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm daily.

The resort grounds are immaculate. With the nearby vineyards, it’s a tranquil place to relax and stroll around. You can also jog on the running paths and take in the local, wine country scenery while getting a little exercise. The Meritage Resort and Spa makes each guest feel special and enjoy their stay in VIP style.

For dining, you have several choices. Experience fine dining at its best at Siena restaurant, which is the resort’s signature eating establishment. Many of ingredients used at Siena have been locally sourced locally to ensure their freshness. The restaurant’s menu offers a wide choice of entrees such as Pacific Seared Halibut, that perfectly blend the best of Italian and Californian flavors. Your taste buds will love the delicious, Tuscan flare!

For breakfast and lunch, stop in at Blend. This Italian eatery provides café lattes, espressos and teas to drink, plus wonderful baked goods, fresh pastries, various a la carte items and even gelato. Yum!

Our room provided an incredible view of Estate Cave, in addition to the expansive swimming pool area and hot tub. Relax by the pool in a comfortable chair or lounge chaise and even get poolside service. The atmosphere is so relaxing.

The Meritage Resort and Spa does charge a $20 resort fee – per room per night. The fee includes the following: a select bottle of wine in your hotel room, two bottles of water each day, Shuttle to local golf courses and downtown Napa, a DVD library, morning coffee service in the lobby, in-room gourmet coffee and tea, both valet and self parking, unlimited use of the on-site fitness center, wifi for unlimited devices, plus access to view greater than 3,000 worldwide newspapers and magazines using the resort’s own PressReader app.

The shuttle service makes it easy to enjoy all Napa Valley has to offer. Don’t worry about wine tasting then getting behind the wheel of your car. Just utilize their 27-passenger shuttle for free transportation to enjoy Downtown Napa’s many fine restaurants, tasting rooms and even theaters.

The resort hosts numerous events throughout the year, including their famous Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners, as well as a fun New Year’s Eve bash in Napa Valley on December 31. The property is also ideal to hold a wedding or reception.

Another event that attracts a large audience is the third annual Masters and Makers @ Meritage to be held this coming President’s Day Weekend. The dates are February 12 to 14, 2016. It’s a celebration that showcases the world-class Napa Valley and Sonoma wines. Sip wine and enjoy farm-fresh foods. Event activities taught by master winemakers and sommeliers include – wine tasting experiences, culinary classes, food and wine seminars, a wine maker dinner served in Estate Cave, a wine tasting gala and much more!
